@@attembrah bummer! man mine doesnt have a single mark on it minus the repair after the wind blew it through the parking lot prior to first session. Seems you never know with FW. My Cymatic was also bombproof but have heard others not have good luck. QC can be an issue. Hope yours get fixed soon!@

How does the Flat Earth compare to your Mashup? Do you have a preference?
@attembrah2 жыл бұрын
Flat Earth is versatile over a larger range of conditions (especially the punchier days) and more high performance. Mash Up is good for a grovel and had plenty of fun surfs on it but prefer the Flat Earth

As you have reviewed both which do you prefer Flat Earth or Fishbeard? Which goes better on hollower waves. Asking for a friend.
@attembrah2 жыл бұрын
G’day Terence. Have to go with the Flat Earth in a hollower wave. The Fishbeard is still plenty of fun in a bitta size but more of a point break. Had it out on a 6-8ft Mexican point break and was a dream. Flat Earth works better in a hollower beachie or reef break.

Hi, Love the review, nice to see a variation of fins used on one board. I’m looking to get a flat earth, but want to use it for when waves are a little more powerful, as I have a 5’9 (33.6L) Black Baron which I use when its not. Can’t make my mind up between the 5’9 (31.78L) or the 5’10 (33.36L) flat earth. What would you recommend?
@attembrah Жыл бұрын
Hey Erin. Thanks for watching! It really depends on the type of surfing you’re looking to do. Personally, I would go slightly less volume than my small wave grovel board, due to increased wave power with increased size. 5’10” if you have a cruising surf style or 5’9” if you want to surf more aggressively.

Appreciate your response. I’ve now been advised to get a 5’11 (34.2L) but having a more progressive board bigger than a groveller seems odd to me. Having read reviews, everyone says size up, but I won’t be using it in weak mushy waves, so like you said I don’t think that advise helps my specific situation. Even so, the reviews + the advise from my local surf shop of a 5’11 has really confused me, as I was sold on the 5’10 before hand.

Thanks for the review absolutely ripping🤙🏼 What’s your height weight dude? How did you find the size of the board. I normally ride 27-29L and got the 5’8 at 30L because people said to size up a little. Probably could have just gone the 5’7 because the nose is a little corky but the tail turns on a dime. After surfing the power twin plus trailer and then just the twin without trailer for a while do you still prefer the MF larger thruster set? Cheers mate yew!
@attembrah2 жыл бұрын
Cheers legend! Sorry for the late response. We’re in remote VIC, minimal reception. 6’1” and 85kg. 5’8” is spot on. Could probably have got away with the 5’7” also but 5’8” paddles nicely and bit of extra length is good for the bit bigger sessions. Just depends on conditions as to fin set up preference. Hated the twin + trailer first few surfs but it’s grown on me. Still find myself riding the MFs majority of sessions. Have you tried it as a thruster?
@RuRuRarRar2 жыл бұрын
Nah I haven’t just as a performance keel and twin plus one. I normally slam the tail pad as far back as it can go, but I replaced it and moved it forward because I found the board didn’t want to be ridden right back off the tail as much. Not sure if you felt the same thing?

Do you think this could be good HPSB grom board?
@attembrah2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason. Yes but it would depend on the level of surfing and the conditions being surfed. It’s a great high performance board but not the easiest board to ride in conditions more on the average/smaller side. Can you give us a little more context on the grom (or if it’s for yourself)? Age? How long have they/you been surfing for? What sort of/what size waves are typically being surfed? Bianca’s got 8 years of surf shop expertise so with the above info/any additional details, she should be able to help out further if you’d like 🤙🏽

Mann your ripping on that board. Going to get the flat earth I'm 85kg normally ride 32-34 ltres thinking of 5 10 straight down the middle? Have you tryed out mf twins on this board as I'm keen for those on this board?
@attembrah2 жыл бұрын
Cheers John! Yeah good thinking! Good to go with your standard shortboard litres in this one. My go to are the FCS II MF Thruster Large but have used the FCS II Performer also and works well. Haven’t tried the FCS II MF Twins in it, only the FCS II Power Twins. Could definitely be worth a play around with that set up! It’s fun as a 2+1 when mushy/small conditions.

I'm 6'2" and 205 pounds. Do I get a 6 0 or a 6 1" or 2"? I can't decide. Does kelly really ride these like 5 inches shorter than his height?
@aquamegalodon45 Жыл бұрын
What size did you get? I’m 6”2 185 got the 6”0 36 liters… a saw a lot of reviews people saying size up if in doubt…. I’ve only surfed florida with it but I like the extra volume paddling and wave catching…. If you surf punchy steep waves go smaller imo… if you have average to poor conditions mostly volume up and ride it twin fin it’s very fast… was using the aipa but am gonna try the mick fanning twin H4 on it….. Kelly’s board Micks twin fins I’m not gonna over think it lol

This board rly depends on the wave you could ride the 5”5 if your wakesurfing behind the boat
