Hello Uncanny 🙋🏼‍♀️ The video was incredibly insightful. The connection between time perception and mental health in Mrs. Dalloway is fascinating, especially when analyzed through the concepts of the Anima and the Shadow. Clarissa's struggle with her Shadow as she reflects on her past, feeling trapped between who she was and who she is now, creates an inner conflict that deeply affects her emotional well-being. It also brings to mind To the Lighthouse, which I’m currently finishing as I’ve decided to give Woolf’s works another chance. In this novel, the passage of time similarly affects the characters, as it both separates and connects the Ramsay family. Woolf uses time to illustrate how past experiences and future expectations influence mental health. Both Mrs. Dalloway and To the Lighthouse delve into the complexity of the human psyche and the reconciliation between the Anima and the Shadow. I really enjoyed the video, and I’ll follow your advice to read Mrs. Dalloway in parts if it gets overwhelming. Thanks for the valuable insight! I might even explore other authors I haven't given much attention to before. 🫶🏻👍🏻

Hello Uncanny 👋🏻. Great video. Reading Mrs. Dalloway, I couldn't help but draw parallels between Virginia Woolf and her characters, particularly Clarissa and Septimus. Woolf captures the fragmentation and disillusionment of post-war society so vividly. Clarissa’s attempts to maintain order through social rituals contrast sharply with Septimus’s descent into madness, a reflection of the deep scars left by war. It’s fascinating how Woolf uses these characters to explore the psychological impact of an era marked by disintegration. The video’s approach adds a fascinating visual dimension to these themes.

Hello Uncanny👋🏻👋🏻 this is the answer to your prompt: “What she loved was this, here, now, in front of her; the fat lady in the cab.” This phrase appears in the early pages of Mrs. Dalloway and reflects Clarissa Dalloway's thoughts as she contemplates her life and the present moment. I found it interesting that this insight came so early in the book, which made me delve into the entire work.

Hello Uncanny,👋🏻👋🏻 Excellent video👍🏻. The combination of the clothing and the setting (railroad tracks) evokes a sense of elegance and literary tradition, reminiscent of past English writers who employed these narrative techniques 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. Hello Uncanny! 👋🏻 A Poe video is always expected, and today it arrived right on cue. 😊 The use of clocks to create anxiety and remind us of mortality is typical in Poe's Gothic style. Even in 'The Tell-Tale Heart,' the narrator's heartbeat acts like a clock, marking time and increasing paranoia. While watching the analysis, I reflected on the significance of clocks in movies and literature. For instance, in 'Dracula' and 90s horror films using the classic black kit-cat clock, there's a connection to the uncanny. 'Dracula' utilizes Gothic elements to evoke fear, whereas the classic black kit-cat clock symbolizes the uncanny with its familiar yet unsettling nature. Both examples delve into the unknown and the disturbing to elicit intense emotions and horror in the audience or reader. I really enjoyed the video! 😊🖤🐦‍⬛🦇

Hello Uncanny. 👋🏻 Great video!!! 😊 In Argentina's publishing landscape through a Marxist lens, authors with limited means face hurdles in getting their works published, highlighting capitalist inequalities. As a student, I prefer economically accessible digital books, but I favor physical copies from authors who have piqued my interest. This underscores how power dynamics shape our cultural consumption choices.
