I dont get people disliking new civ system. Its the best thing they could come up with. In line with history and more relevant uniques throughout the game. And there is a talent tree or a quest completion to unlock possible future civs, while keeping old bonuses like legacy card is a big leap forward. 3 age also means we can pick at least 10 possibilities per age and civ choises look quite immersive
@sogergaming3 күн бұрын
This is exactly what I am talking about. I get that people don’t like change. Although you can be negative and assume everything is terrible or you can look at the opportunity that these changes give for game play. Until I have reason to believe otherwise I trust the civilization team to make a good game.

@@sogergaming refreshing take, love it. The amount of moaning and nay-saying from top-line Deity Civ 6 streamers that I have consumed is ridiculous, and quite the turn-off.

1. The trade mechanic feels something like having a great merchant that goes around and sets up trading posts 2. The game isn’t called Great Leaders, it’s called “Civilization”. So choosing a civilization that is led then led through eras by historical figures seems like a more appropriate design. However, Soger is right about the avatar nature of choosing leaders.

I’m Egyptian, and I have no idea why Egypt would transition to Songhai or Buganda! They’re seperate countries that had nothing to do with Egypt, especially in the exploration and modern eras! They aren’t even neighbours! I mean I would understand if it transitioned to Roman, Arabia, Ottoman, English or French. All those ruled Egypt at some point.

The civ switching is not meant to be exactly historically accurate. They will probably change that wording once they realize how inaccurate it actually is.

Great collaboration as always. Enjoyed the positive vibes and agree. The AI might be easier to programme with 3 discrete ages too, might not be completely ineffective in the late game now.

There are a lot of people complaining about the civ changing and era thing. I think they are missing the many positives of that design decision because most players play on prince difficulty until turn 300. They never quite see the many problems and imbalances civ 6 has.

It’s a cheap source of all the housing you will ever need and +1 amenity. So yeah for most of the game. Really the bath is deceptively strong. Pair it with the classic republic legacy card and all 4 population cities have the minimum number of amenities needed. Super easy to hit your +10-20%

Food projects depend on production, yet you chopped it all in every city. Any thought on leaving the production, delaying the districts a few more turns, to make the pop grow faster?
@sogergaming14 күн бұрын
Depends on the city. Overall I just want 10 population still as it’s the best return. Everything over 10 has a significantly lower return on yields to population. I could be incorrect in my thinking but I am still hoping that trade routes will be the best empire wide solution to population growth. My plan is to get my first district (trade) in cities and focus on growth after that going forward.

shipyards are incredibly good because when you are a naval civ you will essentially have all harbors instead of commercial hubs and can get really big adjacencies on your harbors compared to commercial hubs and you can double it obviously making it even better and then you get free inquiry on top of it and with only 2 building districts on your cities you can have 3 districts basically althoug i said naval civ its because they have coastal bias to build more harbors if you spawn with lakes and coasts you should build harbors instead of commercial hubs most of the time as they have more benefits so its not even that situational
