Hi, where about on your Komoot map did you mention about skipping? (mileage/section?)
@brooksey2345 күн бұрын
Hi, yes at 8.92 miles on Hollingsclough Rake do not turn right through farm, just keep going along the road onto Summerhill lane to miss out that crazy hike a bike section which will join up where you would have come out & carry along the route as normal.

I checked out the viaduct 2 weeks ago. The slow progress is annoying to say the least. Looks like it will never end, which seems typical of all projects these days.

Great video's, i've watched most of them now, one question springs to mind, what seat do you use ? It must be a good one else you'd be walking like John Wayne.
@brooksey2342 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks. The seat is the standard bike seat that came with the bike & happens to be one of the most comfy seats that I have had on any bike. It is obviously e-bike specific with a little curve upward at the rear & is just the right width for my sit bone, not to hard or squashy & after messing around getting the angle & forward/backward position right never causes me any pain or discomfort etc! I believe this is the saddle, Selle Royale XLC mtb saddle www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225118724069?chn=ps&_ul=GB&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=225118724069&targetid=2361039923645&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046418&poi=&campaignid=21697381820&mkgroupid=170109506289&rlsatarget=aud-1657461044828:pla-2361039923645&abcId=10027101&merchantid=6995734&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoae5BhCNARIsADVLzZdX_o12P5DuAeMLlQRP9tFrfyT0P3qHgRPiaRKzEXuKHMfzOQpxUYoaAigEEALw_wcB

Hi its a Haibike Hardseven 6, it is actually quite silent. The microphone location on my camera where it is mounted is pointing down at the motor & the quiet motor frequency seems to get mega amplified by my camera, it really isn't as loud as it sounds on the footage.

Thanks, it is a quadlock they are brilliant. You have a solid protective case which perm fits to your phone with a twistlock mech on the back then you can just rapidly attach/reattach to various mounts that you may have on your bike/car etc. They are quite pricey but are rock solid & are just brilliant, www.quadlockcase.co.uk/

Bro, im into the ebiking too, let me tell you it is easy to come off in the wet and your speed down some of those hills considering you are not wearing a full face helmet, id slow down on the downhill sections, you nearly copped it with that blue car as well and no way would have been able to stop in time if you couldnt squeeze through. If you come off it you will become a meat crayon, get a full face helmet.
@JoeRogersGuitarChannel3 ай бұрын
Yeah, i watched this all and is cool and everything but you are passing people too fast, WAY to fast downhill and you are going through guinels and blind corners too fast, anybody could emerge in the guinel you went through, way too fast, you need to chill out a bit and that lid helmet is not going to protect you if you come off, at some points id say you were doing close to 50mph, if you come off you might die.

A nice route. We used to ride most of it on analogue bikes as teenagers from Long Eaton. I had a walk at Vicar Water at Clipstone the other day and thought I should probably take a bike soon and explore further as you can get to Bilsthorpe and Southwell from there. It’s right on the edge of Sherwood Pines.

Nice Ride. I discovered that same bit of lovely canal only last week. I rode it twice on 2 separate days because I enjoyed it so much. I rode the majority of your route last week with just a few deviations with one being I avoided the Hermits Cave but still included Locko Park. The Loren Trust has a few events a year at Locko. We often see the guys dressed up in Asda Spondon as we live in Spondon.

If you wanted to do a long journey, more than the ebike's range, and didn't want to take a second weighty battery along with you, whereabouts could you actually partial charge back up? You'd need your charger + 240v 3-pin socket of course. I canal trekked along the Trent & Mersey into Nottm but not without a few needed detours off due to bridge repairs. Navigation was another thing, even with Komoot & Garmin.

I still use paid car parks a lot, you just may not see them on here.
