I know this video is over 6 years old. But the 30-06 version of the AB3 mag only holds 4+1 not 5+1. The lack of bedding or improper bedding of the AB3 is one of the reasons why people had been turning that rifle down. The rifle trigger system and magazine is much easier to replace and or fix if there’s something wrong with it. Same with the bolt. A lot of that complaint and criticisms would’ve gone away quicker if they didn’t released the rifle without any bedding to the stock (and not screwing up on it as well).

I do have a SKS that's 100% stock ... with all numbers matching. I did get another one with the resin, dragonov style, stock. I really like that bipod/front grip ! Love how it shows and transforms. Thanks for the video , because now I'm getting one of those!!

👍 Enjoyed your video. I have an 1896 Swedish Mauser manufactured by Carl Gustav in 1898 and have owned both an 1894 Swedish Mauser and a Ruger Model #1 all in the 6.5x55 Swede. This cartridge does everything I will ever do with a rifle. Why change?

* I noticed that when you were shooting your clay targets you pointed the muzzle of your gun toward the ground before calling for the target. If you elevate your gun muzzle so that it is slightly below the flight path of the clay at the approximate point where your eyes first pick up the target you should see an immediate improvement in your ability to consistently break more targets.

I have 2 model 10 FCP sr 308 win, 1 20” the other 24” both 10 round magazine. fluted barrel sub MOA No flyers. Man do I love these rifles, don’t shoot steel out of them because the extractors can’t handle it. Nice video and thanks for sharing.

@02:55 I disagree, the 7x57 mauser is mucher easier to get than 6.5SE. Most of not all things coming into the stores are 6.5CM very few manufactors are producing 6.5SE in bulk. For every box of 6.5SE I can find 5x more in 7x57 mauser. Remington and Federal still offer loads in that caliber. I love that 1st rifle that you have with weaver base. BTW I have a CG model96 in 6.5x55 also.

Honestly something that could be 3D printed.
@Huntinggearguy5 күн бұрын
As a cheaper way of doing this, for sure. G10 is a better material for a grip than anything you could print with and it'd be hard to match the consistency in finish on these vs 3d printed parts.

I have the 77/357 in SS. I don't have an issue with the magazine. It is quirky to get in and out but many of guns are. Once you know how to it comes in and out very easily. My issue is my love/hate relationship with Ruger. They have excellent designs but their QC isn't the best. A missed step in the manufacturing process of my American Rimfire made it unusable and needed a gunsmith. I have other Rugers that were mishandled by the factory and should have not been shipped as they were.

Hmmmm, the prices on these is a bit outrageous. I'll stick with the MagPuls. Not counting on the grip texture on the forend for control, but I suppose more is better, right?

The thing is kind of a piece of crap, let's be honest. I read so many reviews on this thing, and even now in the video all the same issues are occurring. I guess if you wanted something cheap and simple to use buy it.
@Huntinggearguy5 күн бұрын
In my opinion, cheap and simple is fine for an extremely short LOP, specialty-rifle. Why spend a pile of cash on a rifle that your kid will outgrow in 3 years?

Sako and Tikka and most other European brands chamber guns for both calibers. Here in Finland 6.5x55 is actually cheaper, but I agree that needmore sorry costmore ah sorry creedmore is a little more efficient than the swede and its also chambered in smaller actions if thats is something someone likes. I personally like the swede for its history and slightly heavier bullets for tougher animals.

I purchased a 308 Model 99E in 1970 in Naples Italy. A gun salesman came on board my Navy ship. I also purchased a 30 30 Winchester with a gold saddle ring. The 308 was $100.00 and the 30 30 was $78.00

Dude, you're going too fast for someone who's never disassembled a gun before. You need to dumb it down a little more and give step-by-step instructions for EACH PIECE you remove.

We did a project for Cabela's in roughly 2017. I was in charge of overseeing their returns facility in Oshkosh NE, it's like being on the moon it's so remote but the people are great. Anyway, they had all kinds of stuff come back from shoes to grills heck even stuff from some of the original catalogs they would accept and yes they had every catalog ever released in that warehouse. For whatever reason, when certain scopes would come back that were Cabela's private label they would smash them with a hammer, yea. So, I would sit there all day watching these guys or gals smash what appeared to be perfectly good scopes with hammers. This was typical consulting work where "the work" can be a bit strange at times but out of all the places I went this was certainly the most unique.

The Cam loader feels like overkill if you're not going to a competition or loading mags for multiple people, I think the Maglula is the one I'd go with for personal use.
