The main narrator provided incorrect information about the mekong delta (region where khmer krom are living). These people didn't not read the real history. Cambodian government never had any control of the mekong delta since early 1700s and it also never had full control of the mekong delta because most of the mekong delta was unexplored. According to history, khmers came from myanmar and thailand. Current cambodia and mekong delta were governed by the chams before khmers expanded their territories to cambodia and mekong delta by conquering the chams. Later the tai speaking people came out from south china and pushed the khmers out of laos and thailand.
