The only dud videos are those you never get to publish, Kev. The trick of exploration and prospecting alike is to prove or disprove up ground, so by testing Rocky Creek again you can now cross it off and not waste further time and effort on it. On to new ground and new opportunities. You've also reminded me I need to get out and check a local spot while we still have some water about. Won't be long before panning in the field is impossible. Looks like the rain forecast for the week has dried up.

As soon as i can afford it id like to send you some ore ive collected here in oregon. Its polymetalic veins with gold, pyrite, galena, silver, and sphallerite (zinc). Runs upto 580ppm in gold. Did my research on this location lol. I have hundreds of lbs of rock sitting here waiting for me to be able to crush it by hand or i get a rock crusher.

I missed this one and glad i watched it now. So cool of jeff to send you that ore, nice stuff indeed.

Why do you swirl the pan? I was taught not to do that as it just moves the gold from the bottom to the top of the pan, then whoosh it goes out as you wash back? Wouldn't side to side work better? At least it would shake the heavy ( micros ) to the bottom of the pan. Not that I am any expert, but it works for my micros? Mind you I can see them with my glasses on!😂

Kev, after giving Rocky Creek another go, maybe it is time to revisit 'Hit & Miss' Creek again. Revisit the old Paper Bark tree or some of the pockets where you found gold there before. It would be nice to see a little color in your pan. Best of luck to you!
