Hard Rock Gold Prospecting

G'Day Friends,
In this video I go out prospecting in the hills searching old timers diggings and Quartz Reefs looking for mineralized rocks. Watch as I crush and pan the rocks to find traces of Gold. I hope you enjoy my video.

An interesting hunt in the hills Kev , always good fun searching through mineralized quartz and such . Well the weather has certainly cooled down a bit and i'm looking forward to hitting the creek or river again , just waiting for the school holidays to be over and done with , lol , Less people around . G'Day Dave, It's a long hard slog, prospecting is about searching for the minerals in the Earth. It's good exercise walking the hills where the old timers roamed over 100 years before me. One of these days... 👍👍Cheers Kev

Well I think the sulphides in that first sample means your on the right track, see if you can find country rock contact and sample some of the country rock contact as well. Keep looking Kev, it’s gotta be there somewhere. I do wonder if in a 100 years someone will see the dam that was dug out and go the old times dug here, there must be gold …. 😂😂😂😂😂

G'Day Jeff, Yeah I watched a Jeff Williams video the other day and he mentioned about where Greenstone & granite contact is where he had found Gold. I know of such a place, so I will check out that area soon. The dam has been there for a few years the property owner dug out the clay to get it ready for the next rains. 😂 yes someone like me 😂. Good one Biggest Kev ! Sometimes it might be worthwhile detecting above and around granite outcrops as the granite solidified under ground and erosion removed the above ground, nuggets and particles of gold may have become trapped in the granite. Cheers.

I use a garret Atx to get deeper targets and then use my gold monster 1000 to pinpoint. The gold monster only goes so deep.
