I love to write. I journaled through my heartbreak from 8 years ago and through my depression. Maybe I should become an author.

Hi Julie!!! I'm so glad I happened across this video! Your ideas and beautiful energy always inspire me. About a year ago I completely left Facebook. I stayed with You Tube and Instagram though. Looking back it was sort of throwing the baby put with the bath water + a drastic response to some emotional pain .... and now I'm missing the good creative connections. Rebuilding from the pieces is where I'm at now. I'm reading Atlas of the Heart too and it has helped me name and understand things that I felt years ago even but didn't have a full understanding of. It's so perfectly titled... I can open it up and find where I am emotionally which is such a miracle. Even go back and see where I "was". I'm so grateful that you share your words and prompts across all the platforms!!!! 🌹

I think i'm going to try this once. I always wanted to write or type more but i didn't know what to write about (i find it very difficult to write about feelings). I am the one who's indecisive 😛

I began writing after doing The Artist's Way too. I love this flexible roll-over and write idea. I've done something similar where I keep a notebook on my nightstand to jot down dreams when I wake up before I forget them. It's so therapeutic to write. It's been lifesaving for me. I believe everyone would benefit if they practiced writing/journaling. Thanks for the inspiration and sharing, Julie! 💗

Yes, it's more helpful to listen and validate so we can be emotionally supportive instead of defaulting to dismissive platitudes or toxic positivity. What great tips to navigate pain in a healthy, loving, supportive manner. Thanks, Julie 💗

Thank you for sharing your heart and creating a healing circle for those who are grieving through the holidays. My heart is with all of you. How difficult it was for you to lose your daughter, I'm so sorry. You are graciously sharing all the complex feelings around grieving and it will be so healing to help one another in your circle. Thank you, Julie. So beautiful 💗

Loved this! I have been rolling over and writing for years--but just dreams, nothing more. If I try to get up and write them down, the dreams will evaporate. So now you inspire me to write a bit more before I rise.
@JulieJordanScott3 жыл бұрын
Do you write before you go to sleep? That has been such a part of it for me, too. Jotting a few lines... and this morning when I rolled over and wrote, I started with "no dreams and....." all this great stuff poured out of me. Very energizing.

I can often find myself going to wards cliches around death. I don't really want to say "sorry for your loss" or 'sending my condolences'. So I do make an effort to say what I am really feeling towards that person. And it is so beautiful to know from that 'other person's point of view' that it is received better when you are just open and honest.

Such a great example of what to do (and what not to do). Wonderful Julie, and so important especially now with so many people challenged, experiencing grief and loss, and more.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your daughter. Sometimes I ruminate on how I would cope if I lost any of my children and it's crossed my mind more now that my oldest son is a Combat Medic in the Army. I'm not sure how I would move through the grief. I'm sending love your way 💙.

Thank you, Mary Anne! Today I even wrote on my phone (which I have now put away from my bedside at night) because I forgot to bring my notebook up at the end of the day - so.... flexibility and consistency combined... its the best way for me to keep up my practices and not beat myself up!

What a great idea to write to one's higher self and ask him/her to light the way. Loved this, including tapping into one's semi-conscious state on waking and writing as you role over or out of bed. Thank you for sharing and especially with such a beautiful environment around you!
