Could you do a video that recording you are entering the roundabout when it is safe. That video should show traffice from the right and as well as you are moving into the roundabout. Not just saying when it is safe but going in to it when it is safe. So that we will understand oh this is a safe time to go. Will you?

Yellow zigzag lines are clearways so you should keep moving unless you can’t for reasons outside of your control (red traffic light, roadworks, stationary traffic etc).

On a Toyota CHR, it has a camera that reads the speed sign as you enter a road and if you go over this speed the dash beeps. But it does not really lock you into that speed. And it reads new signs as the camera sees them Only issue is that some signs on a new side road are placed too near a main road that is a 30. The camera still picks up say a 10 mph sign on a side road. And now it thinks that the main road you are in is a 10mph and not a 30mph.

It will not prevent speeding, what happens is that it sounds a warning and cuts the fuel to engine until car is at the correct speed, but it can be over ridden by simply pressing the accelerator pedal. I hate people who use disinformation. We used to call them liars.

They not just fit a camera blocker in new cars. Problem solved.

All it does is give you an option to limit your speed you get it most cars even ones from more than 10 years ago. The intelligent but of it just tells you the speed limit of the area. So nothing to panic about

Just to note, The system will be installed on all european cars, but will only require to be enabled within the EU, If you are in the UK, you will be able to choose if the system is enabled or not.

I have a 73 plate clio ... it's custom road sign is shock it'll either tell me 20mph or 120 on a 20 road I'm not even joking 😂 ... not only that it'll panic and tell me to break if it suspects someone is getting to close to the road witha. Loud buzz, it scares me nearly making me crash 😂 these assistance cars are great for the elderly with delayed hazard perception thats all.

My 2014 clio already has this. Its a manual setting and if you put your foot down you can go faster. They are just making it automatic. The setting is annoying as hell tho

It's illegal to break the speed limit while overtaking so you just have to accept driving 5mph below speed limit if driver ahead insists on driving a bit slower than limit, if you wish to drive legally and there is no long place to safely overtake. Pressing throttle harder will override the slowdown where really needed. I expect UK may also implement when the bugs are ironed out and safety benefit is proven

One huge risk is, if drivers depend too much on the technology, they may not slow down where conditions warrant a real slowing down (fog, ice, construction, etc.) and instead continue at the speed prescribed by the technology. Remember, good driving is all about adjusting to your environment at ALL times.
