5 years later I'm still playing on a 1050ti but I can run games like insurgency sandstorm, DayZ and escape from tarkov on fairly high settings and still hit 50-60 fps, which I'm totally cool with. I'm a casual console gamer that just got sick of not having mods for my favorite games. Optimization seems way better in games these days so it can take it with a tiny bit of overclock.

Shattered Soldier is by far my favorite Contra. It had some of the most gruesome monster designs and is probably the most brutal and relentless game I've ever played. On my first playthrough on easy I geniunely thought 99 credits with 8 lives each wouldn't be enough.

I think 2.0 looks awesome for 2000, it has really nice lighting effects too. 3 was a big step up in content, graphics and physics, but it feels way too slow compared to the displayed speed, I mean he was going 100 mph and it looked like was really doing 50. This applies to 3, 04 and 2005. 04 is the most nostalgic to me, because it was the first game I've ever played. 2005 is good, it has everything from the previous game and combines them, though it still feels too slow. Dirt was another huge step up, the crash physics were especially good. Dirt 2 and 3, are which I don't like too much for dropping the serious rally experience for an at the time mainstream festival mood. Dirt rally and the ones after that really bring back the old school Colin McRae experience.
