So, can't get a hold of Testors Lusterless anymore, but replaced with Rust-Oleum Dead Flat spray varnish, and followed everything else as closely as possible. I CANNOT get the paint to stop pulling apart and stick to the paint, even with the dullcote. As a result, I'm forced to layer the transparent paint, which darkens it and it totally loses the "candy effect". What could I be doing wrong? If you actually respond to this on a 4 year old video, I genuinely appreciate it lol

That was an amazing paintjob on that Crimson Hunter.. Love that model. Reminds me everytime of an Sukhoi SU27. (not loving russia). But that paintjob was awesome. With some sprinkles of white, you have the night sky. Love it. Regards from Denmark. Alex

Yo Kenny I know this videos old as shit but for bases do you hit them with varnish to glue in the very top layer of effects like snow or flock? Or does realistic water still grab onto the very top layers?

Sorry, not crazy about this approach. The airbrush wasn't covered up enough in the final steps so the end result is cartoony, like World of Warcraft vibe.

hah, as a "Grandpa" (I have kids 34, 24, 22) The last 2 kids moved out last month... still adjusting to empty-nest syndrome. Congrats on the escape! It's tough out there, I remember being kicked out at 17 and living with friends in a small apartment until I was able to afford a place of my own in 82 (recession at the time)

I was painting while re-watching the stream. Couldn't find the color I wanted so pulled a classic Kenny and took out some transparent brown to just make it. One of the best things about the streams is it got me comfortable just mixing colors
