Dawg you're the reason i bought into a airbrush back then. You commented on my first miniature i ever painted and it motivated to get better and better my dude. Thanks for that.

Your videos gave me the confidence to get an airbrush and give it a try. It's been a blast for several years. I still mutter "Gangster gumbooo..." under my breath half the time when I'm mixing. Thanks dawg!!!

Damn, I was going through my subscriptions and realised I haven’t seen you in a while. I was wandering what happened to my first painting Sensei, why I’m not getting you In recommendations lately. Maybe your truths and reals per minute is too high for the algorithm. Glad to see you again.

Whats the concentration of your Simple Green solution?
@hectaart Жыл бұрын
When you use the throttle is it the same as turning down the pressure on the compressor?
@NextLevelPainting Жыл бұрын
no, because the lines are still loaded with 20+ psi. It's so much more consistent then lowering the pis.
@hectaart Жыл бұрын
@@NextLevelPainting I see, do I get the same result from an external air control valve? Mine doesn't come with one
@shelashieu7441 Жыл бұрын
@@hectaart Its the same but theres no need, what Kenny does and the better/faster way to do it is to work allways in a confortable pressure in this case 20psi witch is enough for any application and lets you get quite close to the model, use full air pressure and just work/think on the amount on paint you let trough with finger control, you will get the feel for it in no time and it will be consistent and repeteable, learn to be consistent thining the paints and also think about the distance as the size of the brush and voila. Thanks to Kenny for all this info

Are those paints you are using insanely thin? I've never been able to just raw dog right into the pot, even with airbrush paints. If I do that it is insta-clog-city. I'm normally mixing a paint like Vallejo Game Air with 70% water or I'm constantly fighting clogs.
@jackprocino Жыл бұрын
Monument hobbies paints are extremely thin out of the pot
@NextLevelPainting Жыл бұрын
Light in body but thin is the wrong word. Thin is an explanation usually associated with "thinning" via moisture component. The medium is a light body but they have extreme coverage and saturation.

Happy to see you back on KZbin. I have a TRN1 Iwata airbrush (has a trigger sprayer) and I feel like I don’t have as much control as you display. Is it 100% my skills that need more work or is the pistol trigger style airbrush holding me back?
@NextLevelPainting Жыл бұрын
Ya trigger grip is like that

@@NextLevelPainting thanks man. Would you recommend picking up something with the dual action trigger?

Hey Kenny, how much PSI you recommend we do?
@MrVoltog Жыл бұрын
I noticed this was an already painted mini. If its coming from a fresh state, do we still need to prime? You said at the end just black and white isnt good so im trying to understand where the priming comes into play. Also, where is your class?
@NextLevelPainting Жыл бұрын
Primer helps paint stick to plastic. Black is a great way to hide crimes.
@MrVoltog Жыл бұрын
@@NextLevelPainting Thanks for answering. When you are doing this technique though, the base is just blasted on removing the desaturation the black normally makes happen?
@davidcauley9400 Жыл бұрын
Hi Kenny, do you use an extraction booth at all? I have a small booth but find it annoying to use just for small targetted uses on minis. Just wondered if you use something at all (even a mask?) or just 100% RAWDOG!

What do you mean "ive gonne through" airbrushes, they are metal tools, you are not suppossed to go through them...just my 2 cents.
