I believe Picciotti made a comeback after sitting out a few years to heal up. I think he played at Rhode Island.

Would be interesting to compare environments and culture between a place like Dunmore and a place like Jeannette (I know them both) by comparing what both team's starters have done in the 20+ years since this game. Which team had more successful lives versus not... arrests, prison, etc. FYI - even Pryor has been arrested and convicted, and not as a teenager but in his 30s when he should know better.

@@a1aprospects470 that would be the case with every urban school
@a1aprospects470Ай бұрын
@@MikeG82 Nonsense. Dunmore is more urban than Jeannette. You’re just making false excuses and deflecting. Jeannette is a very small city (town) with population of only 8k with a couple miles of woods between it and the next small towns, and 20 miles from Pittsburgh. Dunmore is a town/small city with population of 14k in a dense nonstop belt of towns and cities that overlap with no space in between and a total population of about 500k. I've been to both and played in/near both. Want to try again? BTW - I grew up in Philly (bad part of the city, not the suburbs) and I coached a real urban high school.

@@a1aprospects470 I know nothing about Dunmore other than they looked more whyte than Jeannette, so that would explain why they aren't committing as much crime lol

Cecil Howard, the Mckeesport, PA QB in this game, was Syracuse's all-time top recruit in program history, but he never even played a down for the Orangemen. Nationally, he was the 23rd best recruit in the 2001 class and the 2nd best dual threat QB. Howard redshirted in his freshman season in 2001 and was expected to take over the following year. That never happened, the Mckeesport native transferred to Youngstown State where he stayed for six DAYS, then transferred to Northeastern. He had to sit out a year due to NCAA rules then for transferring from Division to a lower division (Northeastern was Division 1AA). After that year, he transferred for a fourth time to California Univ. of Pennsylvania, a state school playing Division 2. He claimed he left Northeastern because the school reduced scholarships, but Cal of PA as a D2 school had only a fraction of the scholarships of Northeastern. He didn't play that year either (2004), appeared briefly in 4 games in 2005, and no games after that. From a top 5 QB nationally to 4th string at a small college... just shows how recruit rankings can be nonsense and adaptability matters more than what you did in high school.

2:09:00 Good no call on the interference, at that moment in the game you better have a foul, no maybe's. If in doubt in that situation it is not a foul, if it would have been called it could have ruined the game. Great no call by the officials. I officiated 15 years PIAA.
