Curious, is it worth it? WHat is the salary for CRM? Are there other risk management certifications out here, that pay a higher salary. Im new to risk management, so please educate me. Are they equal in job opportunity, Im looking at ARM, CRM, PMP- RMP, CRCMP, and FRM. I researched and they are different industries but cant I use it for whatever I need it for. Im lost

I'm embarking on this journey as well. I would love to hear how you passed the exams, especially since they're essay-based and they only give you a small window after the course to study for and take the exam. I've been looking for information on people's journey's with the CRM, but I can't find much information. I would love to hear your response.

I used notecards with the 20 learning objectives on one side, and notes on the answer on the other side to study. When you take the test, start with question 20, as its most likely to be in your short-term memory from class, really commit the first days' worth of content/beginning of the book/first few learning objectives to long term memory.

Wow, I didn’t know you had responded because KZbin didn’t alert me! I really appreciate your response so much and it is very helpful! I will do exactly what you suggested! I apologize for not seeing your response sooner because you absolutely did not have to share this gem of information!

I worked for UPS back in 1985. You guys are treated like dogs. Even the drivers are swamped. I currently work as a toll collector for the New Jersey Turnpike. I'll take that any day over UPS. Even for less money. We don't get swamped. we don't get rushed. It's an easy job for very good pay.

Ok bud let’s clear one thing up here since your new to this employer, you mentioned the job supplies you with “free healthcare” . As you work here for any length of time you’ll quickly realize NOTHING is free at ups !!! It won’t come out of your check it will come out of your ass a day at a time!! Your paying trust me.

5+ years, actually working in the area of XR building simulations for new employees. UPS is a big company with many opportunities to go in different directions. Pilots, Drivers, Programmers, etc. One of the few companies that try to keep you if you are good at what you do.

I worked for 14 years as a package handler. I would be interested to hear your opinions about this job if you stuck with it for more than 3 years. I regularly loaded 1400 packages in a 4 hour shift. I found some cool bosses with a lot of mean ones who were really mean. In Michigan, the buildings were heated to 40 degrees but in the winter time they opened all the doors for semis and so the building was 5-10 degrees. I was paid 22k a year for part time work with vacay and health insurance. Its a good part time job for high school education. However, I found it to be a toxic working environment. You mentioned that you get tuition reimbursement of 5K however that was only for management not union employees. In Christmas we would would 9-11 hour shifts with one 10 minute break. I quit because it wasn't a good job for someone in their 30s or 40's I also don't think its possible to make 80K a year as a part time preloader. Seems misleading.

Be wary of the Teamsters pension especially from the western states that holds the Local 435 pension. It's been sending out mailers that unless they get a Congressional bailout they have a good chance of insolvency.

My dad worked at UPS for 40 years. He was a package carrier driver for about 15 years and then started doing feeders division where he would drive from Secaucus NJ to bertonsville MD and back every day for the next 35 years. He died recently at the age of 61. I am glad you see these things. Please don’t let the money keep you in a job that has you working overtime that’s slowly eating away at your life. I am his 20 year old son.
