I got The World as my first draw of 2025, then I got it again as my third draw (I got Knight of Discs on a separate deck after a night of drinking). I've never drawn this card before and it's been a while since I drew a major arcana. I think the card is meant to represent achievements of 2024 which I didn't really think about, as the new year should be different for me after what I learned during 2024.

I think Egorov just chose to align himself with the Marseille concept, his card even has a little Cupid character overhead. The Waite-Smith card is exactly as you say, an archetypal version of the 2 of Cups. Waite considered the Major Arcana to be "the legend of the soul" so he always went more in the direction of platonic ideals 🃏⛤

That could definitely work, on the Princess of Wands you could say she's riding a beast. I think she also works with the Queen as in the Gnostic Mass, Babalon is identified with Binah on the Tree of Life. Both those cards carry a strong carnal energy ⛤

@@kippi One would think Crowley would have snuck Babalon somewhere into the tarot system he created. IMO, everyone should have a beast to ride. That would make life more interesting. Ride into work on a sphinx or a giant cat, no worries about parking. They'll see us riding up and then everyone will be like "Oh, s***! It's them!" And then we'll be like, "That's right, it's us! Me and my beast! We're here! Don't get too close. My beast likes the taste of humans." And then cackle maniacally. Seriously, all this stuff with ceremonial magic and Crowley is new to me. I watched a couple of videos about Babalon on Angela's Symposium with Dr. Angela Puca. On Esoterica, Dr. Justin Sledge has videos about the tree of life and the sephirot. Also, I'm learning a lot from you. I appreciate you taking time to write thoughtful responses. You are a good teacher.
