I got this card for an ex ( before he became an ex). When I asked who he would try to deceive/lie to, I got my astrological/elemental queen. 4 months later, I found out he had been lying to me and got some other chick pregnant. I don’t underestimate the advice of the cards. If you ask for their guidance, they will give it, even if it’s unpleasant.

i did a five-card reading recently, and all of the cards had videos about them on this channel, except this one!! so needless to say ive been very excited for this video to come out lol. my reading about how im planning on confessing my romantic feelings for a friend, and this card came up as a challenge i might face. i think with the added context from this video (and the other cards and personal research) i think this card is telling me to stop lying to myself and just be honest about how i feel? i admit, id been pushing my feelings about them down for a long, long time since i didnt want to believe it and was afraid of getting hurt. a lot of time has passed, and im sure about how i feel now. sometimes ill still doubt myself, but i think i have to stay convicted. i dont think its so much about rushing into something or being rash for me in this case, since im writing out my confession and making a handmade gift that will probably take me a whole month to finish crocheting, so there's not much i can do in that process aside from thinking and processing my feelings

When this card is in reverse it can also indicate that someone is suffering from 'imposter syndrome'.Along with the moon this is the card that i hate the most,i would rather have the tower card everytime i do a reading than this card or the moon.At least there isnt secrecy or deception with the tower.

That's a really good interpretation of the reversed card. I've just done the video for the 9 of Swords, which is my least favourite & funnily enough I say in that one that I'd rather have Death, the Devil & the Tower all at once over that card 😱⛤

@@kippi I can understand why the 9 of swords card can be the one perple hate from the whole deck.A while a go i was going through a 'dark time'and it was the card that kept coming up in every reading i did for myself.I eventually realised that the card was trying to tell me that i was in a negitive cycle because i was assosiating with my fears and it was starting to become a self fufilling prophercy.I was doing it through over thinking and obsessing over worst case senarios.We need to keep our brain in check or it can become our greatest adversey.

That's really interesting, I talk about catastrophizing & over thinking in that video. Sometimes our own minds can be our worst enemy! It's always put me in mind of 'the dark night of the soul' & I've certainly had a few of those! I hope you're out of that cycle now & things are much better 🙏⛤

Hi Sarah! I think the 3, 8 & 9 of Swords relate to shame in a lot of ways but also the Justice card would be good example as it deals with karma & living up to our own standards ⛤

The Moon card is another good example, the crayfish emerging from the water can be a symbol of shame. It's largely looked upon as the horrors of the collective unconscious but it can also represent our most unpleasant memories, & that can include things we're ashamed of. This is what Carl Jung referred to as the 'shadow', the darkest parts of our unconscious. He said "Everyone carries a shadow, & the less it is embodied in the individuals conscious life, the blacker & denser it is" One of the goals of the Fool's Journey is to shine the light of consciousness onto that shadow so we can see it for what it truly is but that means accepting the fact that we are not the saints & angels that our ego likes to think we are. This is what occultists refer to as embracing the Devil, & that's why the Tower comes next. When we integrate the shadow our ego dissolves. We take the journey between the towers on the Moon card into the darkness & the unknown, but the good news is that the Sun is waiting for us on the other side. Arthur Edward Waite said of the crayfish on the Moon card: "It strives to attain manifestation, symbolised by crawling from the abyss of water to the land, but as a rule it sinks back whence it came. The face of the mind directs a calm gaze upon the unrest below; the dew of thought falls; the message is: Peace, be still; and it may be that there shall come a calm upon the animal nature, while the abyss beneath shall cease from giving up a form." Sorry for the long reply but I hadn't given too much thought to the concept of shame in that Tarot before. Thank you for bringing it up.

Then I feel like I should probably have an actual mechanic look at it before I cruise on the Ventura Freeway with my hair streaming in the wind and rolling stones blasting (oh yes there's a CD permanently stuck in the player😂) So I get the call that the mechanic can't fix a possible issue with the transmission/engine oil leaking.....gotta go to the special place....the mechanic informs me his buddy just had this issue in his minivan and it was 3k....omg I just about died .....like for reals I'm thinking WHAT A DUMMY you are ...buying a car from an Iranian dude named Jose Hernadez(but just call me Sam he sais😂) are you getting this story .... So I had just had my massage and walked 2 miles to the mechanic to get this ominous potential money pit news....I'm feeling zen though and think...well I guess this is the experience of life ...not thinking it's good or bad...I suppose it just is and we Roll with it...maybe I'll have to find work Pronto and hope sasquatch is out there looking for me... So I have an appointment at the transmission place for Tuesday....can you tell me that the 8 OF SWORDS IS GOOD LUCK PLEASE gotta say the tranny mechanic was super chill and nice and he Said its rare to have a big issue with a Toyota minivan. So I guess i feel comforted by that...and they had some Peace Prosperity Productivity sign on their wall ...and I saw a truck that Said, Good things Coming your way.... So perhaps reality is unseen ...and perhaps it's about the extra Long weird way the navigation app took me to the shop ...I dunno maybe I was meant to walk the Del la Rosa road by foot today .....and see a Crater lake sticker ....I dunno But I do know....I definitely got swindled....but is it a bad thing is the question... I had already named my ride Falck...short for Falcor from Neverending storrryyyy... One of the lesser known meanings for the 8 of Swords is good luck with the gearboxes of camper vans (I think you call them RVs over there?) so hopefully you'll come out of this experience without an empty bank account!
