You know what I find funny about Robin asking Canary not to tell Batman about his personal issue, and Canary telling him that nothing would leave the room? *Who's to say Bruce hasn't already bugged the room?*

Even the big time super heroes need this level of therapy and opening up. They are soldiers and earth defenders 24/7. I love how the writers of these series added this. Amazing and realistic

I am so glad that this series dealt with the aftermath rather than act like it never happened by the next episode.

Well they used it to help the conflict between robin not being leader so they could do that dumb time-skip with the dumb plot

This is probably what made me go from wanting more YJ to Needing more. I loved this. Knowing that at the very least, the younger ones were getting the time and attention they needed, check ins, a resource to come to, made this feel so much more grounded and invested. I only wish wed gotten a little more with the adults doing the same, or even just seeing who canary herself goes to when she needs it

Honestly, I love the idea of everyone on the team going to therapy because they all needed it, not just with Failsafe. M'gann is traumatized from dealing with violent racism her entire life, Connor doesn't fully understand who he is and only knows what everyone wants him to be and the only person that can guide him and really understand him wants nothing to do with him, Wally has no idea how to deal with his feelings and probably has some imposter syndrome because he's slower than the Flash, Dick's parents died right in front of him and his father figure (Bruce) didn't give him much room for emotional and social growth, Kaldur grew up with his dad being a criminal (who eventually got his act together) and his mother being severely depressed, Artemis's mother was in prison for six years and during that time, her older sister left her too, and her father was a supervillain and had been violently abusing her since she was quite young and she had imposter syndrome because of her past, her family being criminals, and Red Arrow being the "original" archer of the team. They all had so much baggage and they definitely should have gotten help unpacking it.

Anyone else find it interesting that it's Dick that's the most open until Connor has his therapy mission with the New Gods? I get the feeling that after his parents died Bruce and Alfred encouraged him to be open about stuff like this and it shows.

Robin: I don't want to be like you. Batman: ...good... Robin: Huh? Batman: No one should be like me. Maybe one day you will take my cape, but it won't define you. *You'll* define it.

I get why Superboy felt the way he felt he doesn't understand emotions since he was a mindless clone made to kill and replace Superman so he's trying to learn emotions but he said he felt nothing he felt at peace he never said he wanted them to die he just felt nothing i think because he accomplished his goal at the time there is nothing left for him

My respect for Black Canary skyrocketed in these scenes She really knows what she’s talking about. I also really respect Batman for making this happen. They *needed* the therapy. If they ignored their trauma that shit would fester and cause huge problems down the line.

Robins abmission was the better received. He's Batmans opposite. Batman would never kill a villan even if they deserve it, but is willing to sacrifice as many friends as possible to save the Earth. Whereas Robin would sooner find the alternative to save the Earth rather than risk all his friends lives to make it easier. This Robin (Dick) has already lost his own blood family and does not want to lose his newfound family. It would seriously demoralize and hurt him even more.

The psychology major in me is in love with this episode. The way that each character reacts so differently to pretty much the same events. Artemis tried to act tough in order to hide her vulnerability. Wally tried to pretend that he was fine because he's supposed to be the carefree one. Megan felt responsible and her confidence was destroyed. Superboy felt guilty about his own feelings and tried to push them down. Robin was the only one who opened up immediately and admitted how afraid and hurt he was.
