remember that’s still the west. be respectful and pick up your trash. be careful of locals fishing and stay out the way of the spear fishing. this is one of my local beaches and i will correct people if they are wrong.

Don’t leave anything in your car and open all the compartments in the car. You can even leave your windows open a bit. Or park a Ko Olina hotel and take an Uber.

Waikiki is the worst beach on Oahu... Northshore is safe and beautiful.

Hello I just seen this video and I am beyond obsessed with this video it looks amazing, that leads me to my question because I leave for Oahu, Hawaii May 11th so in a week I fly out so I have been looking for a place that has swim through's & water coves you can swim in and things of that nature and I came across this and the swim throughs have me very intrigued, so that being said I am curious if I wanted to do this do I need to have a tour guide in order to do this? I assume yes given you would need to have the oxygen tank and I assume someone to show you where the swim throughs are.... If so, I am curious on where I would go to rent one of the oxygen tanks or basically where I would go to rent this excursion. It seems like Ricardo is who you highly recommend, also I am curious if I would be able to have his contact information in order to reach out for more information and book this excursion myself. Thank you in advance for this amazing video and for whatever help you are able to give me!!

Hi, thanks for watching. Ricardo is the guy to go to. Here’s his site hawaiiecodivers.com/ You can also go to Sharks Cove and snorkel. There are many caves all around the reef but, scuba is the way to go.

Listen folks, I'm not hating on braddah-man here, good on him for trying, but beginner surfers DO NOT belong on the North Shore period, and taking lessons from a beginner surfer on the North Shore will get you seriously hurt or drown... First rule in surfing, know where you belong and where you don't, and country is a very dangerous place, even for lifetime professionals. Stay in Waikiki, surf in Waikiki, and you chances of drowning are FAR LESS... This is a tiny day, that's why there's no one out, but that can change within an hour and the next thing you know you are stuck outside with no where to go...
@ShakaLivin

I can’t disagree. It can get very dangerous very quickly. Any new spot I go, I always hire a guide to show me the area first.

West side has way more homeless camps and drug addicts walking around. We go there all the time but I never feel comfortable...especially the further you go north of Electric.

Aulani with 2 older kids? Age 13 and 18. Already have 3 nights at Turtle Bay but thinking of doing 2 more at Aulani then 4 nights in Waikiki. Thoughts?
@ShakaLivin
@ShakaLivin 2 жыл бұрын
There is so much to do on the North Shore with older kids and the ocean is much safer come April. I spent 5 months on the North Shore(near Turtle Bay) and could have done longer. Not much to do by Aulani other than Hotel life and lagoons. Waikiki is a good location if you have a car. It will be easier to get to the east side of the island and see some of the great beaches and Rain forests.

Please don’t advertise the name of surf breaks it makes them crowded for the locals. Not to mention some guys had to be rescued that had no local Knowledge of the break and the strength of the currents. It’s also nice to surf your family and friend break without a huge crowd and some of the none locals tend to be quite rude. I’m not trying to be rude as well but I would not roll up to your break with a camera and advertise it so as to make it unpleasant for your crew..

Surf and Sea is a good one. Any surf shop in Haleiwa that does rentals will drop the boards off at the river. Just make sure you book in advance because everywhere is booked up.

Thanks for the message. The video was filmed in June. Tuesday and Wednesday is your best bet. Lagoon 4 has the most parking but, can fill up as early as 9am. Lagoon 2 is the least crowded. You might be able to pay for parking at the hotels.

@@ShakaLivin dang thats crazy he has never tried it, i guess at water parks they are more there to keep the line moving than help people progress. That explains the $10 all day price whereas at a resort or stand alone flowrider it is generally between $15 and $30 for half an hour
