Awesome video! Thanks! To avoid the dreary 30 kmish roadwalk (or expensive bustrip) btw Vakkotavare and Kebnats/Saltoloukta consider going over Ritsem and take the Padjelanta trail to/from Kvikkjokk. Better and more beautiful! And if you want an even longer Swedish hike, look into the Via Suecia Trail - a genuine thruhike from the southernmost point of Sweden (Smygehuk) to Treriksröset in the North. It's more like the Te Araroa, AT, CDT and PCT. Happy trails!

wonderful dcumentary. A qustion please: do you need a 4 season test or a three season, e.g. Lanshan 3F UL, would be OK?
@starthiking28717 күн бұрын
@@gideondror7299 it can be quite stormy at times, but 3 season (outside of winter) should be fine. I actually saw some lanshan 3F UL along the way.

How did the Keb Trousers hold up for you? Most of my long distance trips have been in America where the warmer/dryer weather allows for shorts, but I'm realizing I'm going to need pants for Scotland.
@starthiking28712 ай бұрын
@@SDSsongs I love them and wore them on the Hoga Kustenleden and Hebridean way too. They are objectively quite heavy, but I like the comfort of the stretch parts, its silent, and its tough on the legs and knees. Mine did get a small rupture in the crotch at some point, which was fixed by Fjallraven for free. Love the pockets and ventilation zips too. If you like ultralight and are not walking in very cold months, there are lighter pants. Including Fjallravens own agile versions. If you dont mind zippers on your legs, there are zipp-off versions too, giving you free shorts!

Amazing documentary and an inspiration for many hikers! How did our quilt perform during your trip?
@starthiking28718 ай бұрын
It was amazing! Comfort wise I am really hooked on the quilt, I really enjoy the flexibility and room for freedom of movement. The quality of the quilt is superb, as I also experienced on my Cumulus panyam 450 I used before. Temperature wise I had one night down to freezing point and I was warm enough - although the Q250 (even with 900FP down) would probably be a bit too cold for consistent zero/subzero temperatures/hikes. Al in all I was extremely happy with it.
