I must be dense as hell. I want to add speakers to my modern PC so I can listen to music. Is a DAC needed or no?

Well done. You made that fairly understandable... Some visuals showing signal path might help people see where the dac is located.

I'm impossible to teach. Autism level 2. And yet somehow you managed it I think. So if I always connect my laptop to one of you speakers with a digital connector, then I don't have to buy a DAK. I get one already supplied to me inside your speaker. I drink your milkshake . . . . Thanks.

Beginer here. So, I saw on another tube just how nice your speakers are. Do I need a dak or do modern computor speakers have that facility in them. Thankyou.

Be farewell when drilling in the wall make sure the metal stud isn't something else you don't want to drill into like a plumbing stack

I've had the Kanto YU3 speakers for a few years now and last week the fuse went. I've bought replacement fuses which do nothing. There is no damage within the fuse compartment itself as the speakers have been used for low volume music and movies via my PC...not best pleased with the idea of having to buy new speakers due to a blown fuse in speakers that I've had for such a short period time...

What if I’m wall mounting rear soundbar speakers if I’m a bedroom mounting them right behind my bed which is close to the wall? I’m adding the Samsung 9500s rear speakers?

Wish it had an option to adjust horizontal tilt. The holes for mount were slightly out of alignment after pre drilling but make a significant impact when you have a 85 inch tv

What is the exact technical name of the cable with 4-pin plugs that connect 2 Ora speakers, left and right? Is it some kind of proprietary Mini-Din? Very hard to find on its own. I foresee that 6ft will not be quite enough for my future 240cm desk with 3 screens. Are the Mac6 cables from a rival company compatible? They sure look so.

Overkill going into metal stud right ? Just use toggle bolts weight rated into drywall only?
@MyAmazingUsername
@MyAmazingUsername 2 күн бұрын
No. Drywall alone cannot carry heavy TVs. The plaster will crumple and the wall will break apart. The drywall itself can also come off the studs. Especially if you use articulated arm mounts which amplify the weight and are not even safe to mount on metal studs because they put so much weight on the wall (only use concrete or wood studs if you use articulated arms).

I just got a 75 inch tv and the screws I had were too long and I didn’t think of buying spacers. I ordered a box of m8s because because that’s what google said would be the right size for my large tv, meanwhile they don’t fit 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ and idek what size the bolts are but I may just order spacers now and return these bolts

Great recommendation to use eye level at the center of the screen. This method will take into account if you are in a recliner which moves your eye position even higher. I am 6'2, our couch has very thick seat cushions and my neck tilts back slightly as I sit into the back cushion. Originally, I installed the 65" TV with the base 40" from the floor in order to clear the large SVS Ultra center channel. I just replaced the original static mount with the Kanto PMX660 (what a great mount bracket, highly recommend). I raised the base of the TV by another 3 inches. The top of the 65" TV is now at 75.5", the very bottom is 43" from the floor and the center is 59" from the floor. Then I slightly tilted the TV down. Watching from my position on the couch, that puts the center at a comfortable viewing angle for me and the lower 1/3rd of the screen doesn't appear lost behind any equipment (there is some white space, so to speak, all around the TV).

I am pleased to have found this detailed explanation of where to mount the bracket. Most others, seemingly from amateurs, only show the mounting I.e. the drilling and ignore how to find the correct location. Thanks.

Hi thanks! I have some old wired passive speakers. is there any way to power individually each passive speaker with sone integrated wireless, and then they receive the signal coordinated from a single source via bluetooth? The wiring is just horrible

Thanks, When I was young I didn't pay attention. We were to busy partying and just knew it sounded good,or not. Now that I'm trying to learn in my old age, they have made it very confusing. Like when a speakers wpc rating had old school wpc and list something called DIM or MIN or/???. Or trying to match a newer receiver to old school speakers where all they list for power is actually what the unit will use, not the output per channel. I guess it makes it look more powerful. Thanks I now understand DAC...but. When do I need one? Is the built in DAC on phones or computers poor. If so how would running it through another DAC change that???

Nice graph you got there. Too bad there's no labelling on either axis. So the difference happens in the 0-10Hk where only elephants care? Or is that different regime 0-120Hz and we're looking at a genuine marvel of seismic magnitude? Who knows? Not us, that's for sure.
