I thought 1 click games were slightly more common, especially if you count theoretical one clicks where you clicked first on a number and not a blank. But maybe that's because of the small cycle of boards used...

Actually, the Windows Minesweeper game could be up to 256x256 in size. And I mean the oddities and their probabilities.

Actually beginner board has only 151 billion possibilities (64 choose 10) so it is totally possible to just check all of them with a computer... It would take a bit of time but it should finish eventually...

You say it's impossible to click a mine on the first click, but I feel like I've done that at least once.. don't exactly have a way of verifying it though, so perhaps not 🤷🏿‍♀️

I'm a huge minesweeper player and I've still never seen an 8 :( I've gotten a few 7's though!

I'm wondering if you have played the 14 Minesweeper Variants games? If not and if I were to recommend a single one, it would be the second because the 2-board variants, encrypted and liar2 (and bonus variants which I won't spoil) are really brilliant especialy in the combination variants. I have 100% achievements in both games :)

If you have 13 mines, the chance that you have two 8s forming a figure of 8 is 100%, because that is the only way they can form. Any other positions means you don't have enough mines for both 8s. As you add more mines it drops down from 100%.

I was trying to generate a version of that algorithm but for the portuguese version of the game (term.ooo). I replaced the original word files with a word list i filtered, and the "wordle-tree.py" generated a ".npy" file. Is it possible to turn this file into that spreadsheet you've shown at the end of the video? I would apreciate any help.

You showed an example of someone using combinatorics coming to the right answer, and yet say its wrong without explaining why? but also having calculated both equations, they do not appear to be equal, meaning it isnt "exactly the right answer" even if its close to the right answer, but there can be multiple correct approaches to a problem, so they may have a path but havent gone all the way down the path correctly. I do think its a good idea to have simulations tho, but they are also prone to mistakes, the more samples you have, the closer the sample will be to the true value, but if its being done randomly it will never have no variation. As for the chances of 8's being in the shape of an 8, the reason its not much more rare than two 8's as youd think is because they share 3 mines, so its really just the chance there are an additional 5 mines placed correctly instead of an entire 8 more. Overall, I wish you went into more depth about how you calculated these numbers

I have never ended a monopoly game, the rules says you have to own all the properties from one color to buy a house or hotel, knowing this who is stupid enough to sell/trade properties, so you cant trade with others, if all the colors where the same price for houses and hotels, maybe trade could be an option (MAYBE, but one again, if other player owns a full color that will make things harder for you), you have to be SUPER LUCKY to fall into every space with the same color and the other playes do not fall into the free color you try to earn and you can't go bakrupt if you fall into other players properties without houses or hotels

You can do quite a few equivalent problems like having 45 grids of all the 9 colour pairs represented as 2 1's trying to find a conflict with one of the ones you can go up in colour to have 2 1's and a 2 for every row sub grid and column but to more 1's for example the more grid combinations you need making this approach finding an optimal with colour reduction as to find conflicts with possibilities on the main grid. this kind of combinatorics is of an somewhat exponential space but can you navigate it for a conflict in p time as to continuously reduce possibilities on the main grid or through more conflict finding space can you get more accurate approximations in p time. worth an evolutionary heuristic algorithm finding approach.
