If you cut a circle out of a cereal box, and put it on top of the fabric then poke the pin through it and the fabric into the box below, your fabric won't push up around the pin and it's easier to sew a circle.

I suggest you trim down the widest part of the pattern and taper down to meet the top and bottom points. I have not done that so you would need to experiment with the pattern to get the desired shape

your cm measurements are wrong (not all of them) 😂 ... 1/4" isn't 6 cm, but only 1 cm since 1" is approx. 2,5 cm

This way works well. I prefer flattening the corner and measuring it's width first so I don't have to figure out the math for the correct size square first though - it just seems to work better for me..

It looks like Pellon SF101 interfacing, or similar. I think almost any one-sided fusible interfacing for light- or medium-weight fabrics would work.

If you do this just be forwarned that over time washing and wearing it can cause iron-on interfacing to start to come loose or get holes and then the batting would be against your skin. Didn't know if you knew this or not.
