This might be a hard question to answer. Where can I find the mechanical manual for the Ponsee Harvester?

Once you get used the handles it’s a good machine. Miles different to the joysticks on the Deere’s. We are all John Deere but I’d be keen on a Scorpion King.

So is a harvester the same as a processor? How often do you usually need to sharpen the blades?
@rdv4rjm2 жыл бұрын
Just purchased a 2008 Ergo 6W. Machine came with huge notebooks, mostly parts manual. The manual which seems to be the operation manual, leaves the computer programming aside. Seeing you had made a video on how to operate yours, is it because such manual does not exist? I have been surfing the net for an operation manual to be downloaded, and found none. DId you have to figure out the operation of the harvester?

How's that head in hardwood?
@BEARDEDHARVESTER3 жыл бұрын
It’s pretty rough on the head and machine in general in any hardwood over about 15”. But in smaller diameter hardwood it’ll do pretty decent without too much abuse. Thanks for watching. I’ll be back at it soon.

How do you find he Ergo and Ponsse head holds up to the hardwood you cut? Your timber looks very tough and difficult to delimb, it has poor form (native growth?)... How many hours on the machine now? We run all CAT and Tigercat tracked machines for our CTL jobs and I often wonder how good a wheeled harvester would hold up to our Australian plantation hardwood... We operate anywhere from 0.15 - 0.5m piece size per stem but the problem for us is our timber must be debarked - that is very very tough on harvester heads and machines!

What buttons do you press to make the harvester head go back and forth when it's debranching and debarking and doesn't complete it's cycle when you had already pressed a pre select cut length and the harvester head stalls let's say mid way ...is it that you just repress the same botton over again or is it another botton that your press?
