I think the grand tourer think mattered more back in the day considering there were luxury cars that were basically couches with massive engines - all the thought was put into prestige and none of it into sportiness. Now and for awhile, everything has crazy brakes, suspension, etc. I think the LC500 is a good example of a true, modern day "Grand Tourer."

The big 100! I did exactly what you said about BaT and pulled up a 1985 Aston Martin Lagonda for 53k and a '69 Camaro Yenko/SC for $390k. Same comments about how they got "so much car for the money" and it was "such a bargain." Go to their history and it's either people with no bids/sells or someone who clearly owns one. You're completely right about the photography selling the cars. I've been down the car rabbit hole so many times for the stupidest things. I had a week where I got into kei cars and I spent so much time studying the different kei cars, pushing away the thought that it would be useless and uncool unless I happened to meet some random enthusiast on the road. Something about the crazy amount of research is cathartic for filling that desire instead of actually buying the thing. One thing about the car companies putting in weak effort for EV's: I think the brands themselves aren't cool enough to pull off something crazy and have people accept it the same way people accepted the cybertruck. The image of Toyota, GM, etc is not based on desire but what you need to buy for utility. It's a bit of chicken and the egg situation, but people already feel ripped off with cars, so I don't know how quickly people will buy cool EV's unless they are expensive enough to be a flex for rich people. Which is probably why there are so many super generic super/hyper EV's. I think modded cars from prestigious shops that don't do a ton of cars like Mine's and Mugen can compete or succeed the stock cars, but they're almost their own thing. I still see R35's around, but it's positive image of the ultimate track weapon faded over the years while all the complaints like the looks and """rawness""" stuck. They're cheaper now than they ever will be, but it's at the price range where you can get plenty of other cars that outperform it, are more comfortable, have more heritage, are easier to show off, or whatever combination of factors you're looking at.

Had the wipers issue as it's winter here in Chicago and both mine were dusted and ripped. Cheaped out and got just the 11 dollar blade from Target for Driver side only at this point lol. Works way better now.

By the time the last Camaro debuted, I didn't care. It seemed to take forever to come out. Every time the Miata was redone, my butt puckered thinking it was going to bloat. The Cybertruck is smaller than the prototype. Nice. I looked at RAM's upcoming electric truck. Not like a Lightning, but also not absurd/interesting as Tesla. BAT--I shake my head at some that don't meet reserve. My late dad always referred to that as when "2 fools met'. What was the reserve, and what was that last bidder thinking? I'm 60 and watched car prices/values for 50 yrs. You're right about the photography/image. My brother always lamented the divorce of his latest twat, but it, I promise, was only the image or idea. Those GT3s, wow! Hey look, just listed and $325K. Love your show. Only at 23 minutes, but I'll have to finish watching later.

I know one car that got worse over the model years was the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 because they got cut that car later on when they got rid of the flip up head lights. They also got rid of the active aero which sucks as well. But in terms of V4 engines they do exist mostly in motorcycles like the Yamaha V max and Honda Magna are two examples that come to mind but some Saabs had V4 engines which I think was developed with Ford.

I have the touchpad on my LC500, it's perfectly fine. I actually like the haptic feedback as I can keep my eyes on the road and understand where I am from the haptics. The car has "concierge" setting, so if you set it to a temperature it adjusts the heated/cooled seats automatically.

Is “Integra Type S” being in every episode some long running joke? Or do they just forget since it’s so long in between episodes?
