Fork sheild did very little for wind noise reduction on my africa twin. I think the majority of wind noise on AT is the badly designed windscreen. For off road riding I'd say it's not the best. It looks amazing but you can't see through black so front wheel placement is hard. The size is better for visibility than the large screen. I did hit a rock once though and jerk d forward and the top of the screen hit me in the face. I don't really ride on road unless I'm going to the off-road so I can't say with any authority whether it's a good travel screen.

They tell me to remove the screw or thorn then the goop sucks into the hole and seals it . Sounds incredible doesn’t it. I think I’ll give it a go because I’ve just been quoted around £500 for a conversion to tubeless. Just not worth it
@dynamotightstar3472
@dynamotightstar3472 4 ай бұрын
That's what I'm saying. The idea is to pull the thorn out but you won't be able to the see the thorn in most cases. They go in and snap off. Most of the air will be out by the time you notice you've got a flat. The way they portray it it's like a light will flash on your dash to say you've got a puncture. You'll know you have one when it's flat.
@SteveHore
@SteveHore 4 ай бұрын
You would install Goop into the tyre / tube as per the installation instructions. Rotate the wheel long enough to give an even coating throughout the tube. Then once installed and the air has been put back into the tyre and rotated the Goop will get sucked into the area which has been punctured from the nail / thorn / screw etc it will create a seal and plug the hole. It is always best, if you know what and where the offending item is that's causing the leak to be removed. Upon Removal of the offending object you will probably hear some air leaking still. Rotate the wheel and you will then hear the hissing of the air stop, which is when the Goop has been sucked into the leak and plugged it. It remains like this for the lifetime of your tyre. If, for example on a push bike it has been left for many months unused in a shed etc you may find the tyre has gone down due to the liquid welling up in the bottom of the tube or tyre after some time. It will however, re seal the leak once re inflated and rotated again. I hope this answers your question Kind regards, Chris This came directly from from Goop. They also recommended using more than 250ml say 500ml for more protection
@dynamotightstar3472
@dynamotightstar3472 4 ай бұрын
It still work quite like that in practice though. Unless you could get the tyre off and find the thorn that is. In which case you'd change the tube anyway. 😃

That’s a good point. I don’t do much off road 80-20 in favour of road but I still can’t see how that stuff can work especially with a tube and even straight onto the inside of the tyre. I don’t think wheel balance will be an issue but I’m still in two minds whether to put the Goop in. I’ve got two bottles of the stuff and three cans of moose. Last Saturday I got caught out in the middle of Dartmoor and it took 5.5 hours for RAC to turn up. Freezing fog and constant rain. Not nice. I’ve also contacted someone who will convert the spiked wheels to tubeless but £300 for the pair too expensive. Safe riding mate

@@dynamotightstar3472 Hyper Markets, now that's a new one..🤔 Man every since I got a dern apple watch and saw my heart rate gets to 187 when riding the trails, I really had to start watching what I eat before a trail ride. My HR will stay between 175 and 185 bpm for 30 minutes or longer. That's when I start feeling it and slow down for a bit and once it hits 145 bpm, back on it I go. It is a common problem and I "heard", when they assembled the clutch kit the fiber plates wern't properly oiled before install. This being the '23 models mostly. Plus with me only eating once a day with the work I do, I need to know what to eat so I can get the proper nutrients I need to stay alive. Hey my buddy at work had to take a week off when he threw his back out after a good sneeze🤣. It is a common issue for the '23 model T7. I "heard" the clutch oiling/soaking process was botched causing dry spots in the fiber. Some people had major issues with the bike still moving forward with the clutch pulled in and some, like me, didn't really have any issues. Non the less, the friction zone is very small and yes some of the other T7 riders also have this issue.

It all looks very flat on a GoPro. GoPro is much easier for editting though that's for sure. Well, given the grit and dirt that came off my trousers when they dried I'd say longterm the husky needs to be stripped and cleaned as that stuff has been through the intake and the engine bit he put 8 litres of oil through it and the oil is now clear again so he's gonna leave as is.

Hi mate, I know its an old vid, but ive just moved down here from cumbria and am sorely missing the off-roading haha, whereabouts are these trails, and are they still rideable?
@dynamotightstar3472
@dynamotightstar3472 6 ай бұрын
Hi mate, they aren't really no. Turns out I shouldn't have been there for the most part. There is one lane that was rideable but that's it. Chesham or Stevenage are probably the closest lanes after that. Join up with the Herts TRF. They have loads of routes and rides.

Correct me if I'm wrong as im just bought myself a 390 from 2018... Never drove a duke 390 before,first impression is that bike feels like loves Middle range/high revs at low revs its a bit clunky... This mod would help the running at low revs???? Thanks

From what I remember and probably said it in the video, it was smoother at low revs. It's hard to find a better bike for the money that's for sure.

That is very true. If I were going to do long motorway journeys on it I'd swap a sprocket for sure. It'll drop the revs down so it won't be screaming everywhere.

Funny you should mention it but Joe, the comment below this one had a Fantic. Black and yellow one. Joe's maybe 5' 8" but he lowered his and it was perfect for him. He's not had the bike for a while but he loved his as much as I loved mine. I lowered my 690 Enduro as it was just too tall for me. Quite a few people lowered the Fantic. You could probably find one already lowered.
