One of these run my entire station. It's built like a brick and awesome to use.

That's a great little supply, but the output generates quite a bit of common mode noise. I made a video demonstrating it, and showing a few ways to mitigate that noise: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooK0eZ-YhLKCq9k

I have the sota special. I've run it on my kitchen floor on top of a faraday cloth with the radials out maybe 3 ft each and I've got under 1.5 SWR on 40, 20 and 10

Thanks for the video. I’m a new ham Technician with just an HT and looking to get a radio and antenna to work 10m ssb and am looking at this exact combo, seems like it works very well.

I literally just ordered this last night. I'm wanting to possibly store/carry it in a Blueprint/Art container, but I can not find the Dimensions of the Collar part? do you by chance know what the Diameter of that Collar is? Hoping it will fit inside a tube that is 2.4". Thanks. Great video by the way. 73.

Glad that I found your video. I have an FT-891, and I am considering the WRC. I use an EFHW cut for 40m, using a 49:1 UNUN, which works great. This setup requires trees and/or poles. I have a great drive-on mount for my SOTABeams pole, but this ties me to the car and the parking lot. Not my idea of "getting out in nature". So, I have an arbor bag and toss the line into a tree in the outback section of a local state park. I wanted to try a vertical, so I bought a 5.58M telescopic whip, and that works great for 20m (with radials). I'm wondering how to ever get on 40m. This brings me to the WRC. I'm wondering about this antenna primarily for 40m operations. Finally, after two years, are you still happy with your WRC purchase? TNX de David AE4LH

If I was using Anderson power connecters for my VHF/UHF rig how do I use it with the quick clips on the front? Do I have to take them off or get some sort of an adapter? I also have an HF Yasue that I can see how to connect that with the rings. Do I need to get the adapter that you showed from powerwerx?

Sounds like it's working great for you. I have a similar antenna ordered, and hope it works as well for me. Currently am using a folded dipole for 20 meters with a QRP transceiver which is my only HF transceiver. Good video. 73s de N7MRF in Washington state.

Does the stainless steel telescoping antenna com with the coil, or must it be purchased separately? Thank you!

The sb1000 also works 6meter + 10-80 meters. I like the antenna does a great job. I also have the mfj1979 whip it does a great job with the coil. Look forward to using it for POTA activation and Field Day. And by the way your little girl is very pretty. I love the 1000 TIA. I wipe the telescoping whip down with a silicone (gun) cloth when collapsing it. Gets rid of fingerprints and makes the sections slide a bit easier. Give it a try.
