Hi Nick excellent review, does this power unit work with Yaesu FT-991A?

If I was using Anderson power connecters for my VHF/UHF rig how do I use it with the quick clips on the front? Do I have to take them off or get some sort of an adapter? I also have an HF Yasue that I can see how to connect that with the rings. Do I need to get the adapter that you showed from powerwerx?

The MV is a pretty clean when it comes to noise, where you will need the noise offset is when you have a device near by thats radiating a lot of emi, this can affect the circuits in the power supply, or power cord picking it up causing noise thus transferring it to your radio, in many cases you can use the offset to move the noise away, the MV has good shielding in it, but nothing is perfect. I did have a noise problem where I had to use the offset, one day I had enough of this iHome radio iPhone dock bluetooth speaker thingy I had near the power supply, after I tossed the iHome thing the noise was gone, and I was using a Icom 7300, so you can see it on the scope, every 50 KHz there was a line of noise, turns out this iHome thing was just an emi making machine, alway be careful of what you place near the power supply. The MV is made in Japan and the 330FX is made in China, Alinco pulled the FX due to poor quality build and a huge noise problem.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Thanks for giving your experience with the MV... Yes, always be mindful of what you place near your power supply. 73- N1UI

Hi, It's possible to change the input voltage, from 110v to 220v?

Hi Nick, just wondering if you are still happy with the PSU ?
@J4ckieD3 жыл бұрын
Is this still working well for you? Considering this or a jetstream. Power supplies are getting difficult to find.

Is this item needed for cb usage?
@w8haallthingshamradio1494 жыл бұрын
Depending on what your power needs are.... I don't see why this couldn't also be used for CB... Would need to read what that radio needs and compare to the specs of this power supply. Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by.

Never shave a beard above the Adam’s apple. It may look right in a mirror but it’s a serious mistake.
