What I love about this episode is that it's shown throughout that Thorfinn is still a scared kid even if he puts on this badass mask. This can be seen when he covers his face when seeing the dog, and then immediately changes his expression to a scowl when the mother and daughter come inside. It's only by the very end of the episode that he changes, letting go of his emotions. There's a visual difference between how he looks then and how he looks before it. Great touch
