In another review I'd seen of this, in which the sound was being recorded from a mic, with the keyboard volume not being too loud, the keys were making a lot of noise. What's your take on key noise?
@jackthemurray12 күн бұрын
The section of my video where I capture the sound of the piano speakers through my phone’s mic should give you a good indication of the volume of the keys. It’s reasonable for a weighted hammer style action keyboard. There’s going to be some clunky sound just due to the design

Hey, first off, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I got this for Christmas and had so many problems setting it up! But now I have another issue. There is no sound coming out of the keyboard. It’s registering that I am pressing the keys, but it won’t play any sounds even with the volume all the way up. Any way you can help?
@jackthemurray19 күн бұрын
No problem happy to help! Your keyboard is just a MiDI controller, and it’ll need to be connect to a computer to make sound. So if you’re not hearing anything it’s due to the software you have the controller connected too. If you give me more info and your setup I may be able to help more!

@@jackthemurrayso I already have my keyboard connected to the computer and did everything you did in the video. I have the map all set up, rigged all the buttons, and figured out how to add tracks. I’m just trying to add sound to the keys which I can’t seem to find.
@jackthemurray19 күн бұрын
Are you using Ableton Live? Did you add an instrument device to the MIDI track? An empty MIDI track would make no sound by itself

@@jackthemurray I do not see any options in the VST instrument area. It’s just blank. Where would I download that?
@jackthemurray19 күн бұрын
I wouldn’t use a VST or plugin. Try loading in a sound from the “instrument” categories in the left hand Ableton browser

@pianobrad57 it's currently on Ebay with 30% discount at 280$. Also, is the key action close to an acoustic piano?? It doesn't have to feel exactly like an acoustic piano. As long as it feels close to one, then I'm good.

I actually recently purchased one of these at the beginning of the month here. Been playing it for a solid 4 weeks now. I bought it to use as both a DAW controller to control recording and playback while I use my Alesis Vi49 as my MIDI keyboard and my MPC Studio Mk2 as my drum machine. I find myself actually using the Synido K25 with it's honestly impressive feeling mid-sized mini keys. Which are not at all too small for my large hands, and appear to be a little larger than half the size of the proper keys on my Alesis, which are weighted velocity sensitive keys with aftertouch. The action of these mini spring action keys is actually oh so very playable. Since my current living situation is _very_ space-limited and bringing out the Alesis to play requires setting up a stand or table for it, it's often actually simply just faster and more convenient to use my Synido which I keep beside my computer and it's respective (HID) keyboard. I have an MPC Studio which I use as my drum machine.. And like, the drum pads on the Synido are actually VERY playable.. They are _nearly_ as good as the pads on my Alesis, which are fricking amazing beat pads for what is an afterthought on the controller with it being a keyboard style controller at the end of the day. Those are another topic entirely.. They can sometimes actually replace my MPC when I really get into playing. They are pressure sensitive like the MPC.. It seems the Synido pads are not. But they are very responsive velocity sensitive pads. For something entry level or a new musician on a real tight budget, I would recommend either as an entry level do-it-all controller. The Alesis would be the better choice if you only want a single controller to rule them all or if you code your own synths, especially in an environment like CSound or even at the WASAPI / .stk level of things. As a DAW player keyboard, the goal posts are moved a fair bit closer though.

You can try getting a midi to usb adapter so u can use a program (daw) like garage band or audacity to control your loops. For simple looping it’s easy but you can pretty much do anything with sound effects u can imagine.
