As far as using this live for years now both wireless mics and wireless audio connections for electric instruments have worked flawlessly and im sure the md1 would work flawlessly live as well. I have 1 md1 and will buy a second shortly.

Have you tried to use MIDI with IOS or Bluetooth devices? What was your experience?! 👊😎

Im wondering since there are 16 midi channels why couldent you be able to use multiple units and direct them with channels or i believe these software that you can identify each unit and assign them to specific ports

Hello, my mini master plugs have arrived and I’m waiting for another set. I’ve plugged the midi master into the midi in sockets and midi out sockets on my old hardware roll and keyboard. I’ve also gone into Logic pro and set up an external midi track. However I’m attempting to record but there is nothing happening so far. I’ve asked Siri to switch on Bluetooth on my iMac and it appears to already be switched on. it’s likely it’s something very simple so if you can assist, thank you very much. PS, I know it is important to plug the main midi master into midi out which I have done and the smaller one is plugged to midi in on the keyboard.

Excellent performance and advice on having two of f them. Do you mean by using two of them it’s possible to activate hardware music keyboards so one can play the other working the same as midi cable otherwise being connected.

Yep you’re correct! With two of them you can treat two devices like they’ve got two cables patched between them. Hope that helps!

I do not believe so. The Bluetooth is meant to connect to phones or computers. Not Bluetooth enabled midi keyboards.

Yes, you would buy two sets of the in/out pair.

This will work to connect any two general midi devices!

you think one set of these would be able to connect to an instrument that has midi over bluetooth built in?.. I have a roland ax-edge, and it would be cool if could just buyt one of these and connect it to stuff...

Each kit comes with one midi out and one midi in. In order for the midi in part to work it has to be connect to the midi out part, which has to be plugged into a midi device to be powered. If you can get the ax edge to connect to the device then yes you’d only need 1. But I’m not sure if that works. Otherwise you’d need two unfortunately.

@@jackthemurray Thank you for the quick reply=)... I think i'll try emailing Xvive for specific answer about this, otherwise i might consider the CME WIDI Master... It's the same kinda thing but they advertise on their site that using one pair to connect to a BLE midi device works, they even use a picture of the ax-edge as an example... do you know anything about CME or the quality of their products?..

Hello again, I’ve learned Midi Master is not compatible with iMac but compatible with iOS. I do have iOS GarageBand so wonder if it will be compatible with iOS G band?

Hi, yes it should be compatible with your iOS device and GarageBand. I was able to use my XVIVE MD1 with GarageBand as seen in the video. Let me know if that works! Make sure you plug both ends of the midi master into the same instrument though!

@@jackthemurray Oh thanks very much for your immediate reply though there was no rush. Is there a setting I have to go into on GarageBand iOS in order for it to pick up the Bluetooth midi? I’ve got both five pin din plugs connected to the hardware keyboard. The main midi plug is plugged into midi out and the other plugged to midi in. I’ve also downloaded the WIDI app and selected WIDI Master. I always understood that it was not possible to connect external midi to GarageBand unless it has been updated whereupon this is now possible.

In Garageband go under Settings > Advanced > Blue Tooth MIDI devices. I believe I walk through this process in my video. Once you open up that menu you should be able to search for the WIDI device. Just make sure your bluetooth is on on your iOS device. Also make sure your iOS device isn't already connected to the WIDI master in bluetooth settings. That might help. Good luck! If your master device is outputting CC, yes. Treat this system as you would a standard pair of two midi din cables across two devices.

Don’t worry, I didn’t start using a Macbook until after college. Mostly for the portability and practicality and for horizontal scrolling in timeline based music/video software. I also just designed and hand built my own PC as well. I’m about 50/50 Mac/PC. As for the Cubs fan part, yeah there’s no saving me there…

Yes that’s correct! Two together works like two different midi cables connected together between those two devices!
