I have had my 3 speed hand mixer since 1985 and it is still working wonderfully today.

I prefer having a Beautiful Pioneer Woman display sets of matching cook wear and a whole bunch of other stuff that matches together. Kitchen looks beautifully. You can always upgrade if ir when they mess up.

I just came across this video and wanted to check it out. My husband bought me this same mixer about 2 weeks ago from Wal Mart for $50. I couldn't believe how cheap it was at the time because I believe it's usually around $100. I have read mixed reviews on it and a lot of those reviews are mainly regarding the smell of something burning when it's on and/ or the attachments breaking or can't be replaced.

I burned my hands on the handle too. Mine also scratched up quickly. We’re in the same boat.

I have a 1.5 litre Slow Cooker from a company called "Shef." I've had it for over 10 years and one of the things I love about it, is that it has an "Auto" function, it cooks on "High" for 2 hours and automatically switches to "Low" for however long you want,always 6 hours, in my case. So few cookers have this option and it looks like the newer versions have replaced "Auto" with "Warm." Not the same. I make a lot of stews/casseroles in mine. Throw everything into the pot, at 11 a.m. turn it on @ "Auto" and then go out for the day and return 8 hours later to a great smelling home and a ready cooked meal, with one portion for me and 2 for the freezer! 😋😋

We got the white, ceramic Tasty pans, aad they started off great! After a couple of months though, scrambled eggs stick to the bottom and burn. Useless.

The attachments are not interchangeable with KitchenAid since they are 2 stud vice KA's 1 stud. Mixing paddle didn't really do a good job of scraping the bowl side when making butter cream and there doesn't seem to be any flex edge paddles for it that I can find.

Good review! Something to keep in mind, those 500W will draw up to 4.5A current. So it's about 1/3 of the typical wall outlet's output. It's quite a bit of draw, but not terribly much, so just use it by itself and not with something on the same circuit that's currently running, like your microwave or toaster oven, which could trip your breaker. Thanks for the great review!

Some Notes 1. Lodge is made in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee, USA 2. Mainstays is made in China specifically to undercut American manufacturing 3. When I went to look at both at a local Walmart, one of the Mainstays Cast Iron Pans was pre-cracked from beside the handle into the middle of the skillet. 4. Heavier means it will take longer to preheat and retain heat longer once hot. Exactly the opposite for a lighter skillet which will preheat faster and cool faster.
@zeofromthefuture Жыл бұрын
mainstays are actually made in the US, look it up
@wreckingopossum Жыл бұрын
@@zeofromthefuture No, mainstays is made in China, I have several items of mainstays brand and they all say "Made in China" just underneath the mainstays logo. They did start bringing some manufacturing back to America under the Trump administration, but just their ultra-thin, ultra-low quality plastic stuff.

Thank you, because I'm pretty sure I was about to die trying to open this damn bottle. First I thought it was a metal screw cap so I messed around with that for a while, near bout gave myself a heart attack. Finally was like "is this motherfucker a CORK?" and it was -- gotta tear off this pretty star on top to get to it. Anyway, I was tired from fighting with it and decided to google and found you and POP cork's out. Thank you, my friend.

After about 5 years the coated flat beater becomes garbage ‘cause the paint.starts.chipping into your food. Why do they do that?! They should make the flat beater like the wisk-stainless steel. I have a red one to match my kitchen for about 8-9 years.

The mainstay is made over seas, lose a point, plus the weight thing is backwards, you want it heavy, if you want lighter go carbon steel.
