Our innate ultimate nature is the same.In that we need confidence.Our background conditioning is complex and not equal in that regard

This is the most outstanding dhamma talk i ever heard, omg (i have studied for certain answers relating to cessation for well over a decade). I will have it looping for days 😊 thank you so much for bringing this down to Earth in a practical manner with clarity.

I’ve been practicing TWIM on and off for a couple of years. I love the teachings and I resonate with the meditation but somehow often struggle with it. The object of the meditation, loving kindness feels very vauge to me. How do I focus on a feeling? It seems so non tangible. Would be very grateful for some feedback if anyone is reading this. 🙏 Thank you for all talks and teachings.

I found it helped a lot if I take an extra moment to know clearly what the distraction was before relaxing. I guess I had a tendency to look away from the distraction too quickly. By taking the extra moment to know what the issue was, the relax step is more effective.

Hi, Does Metta lead to cessation?
@davidjohnson8218
@davidjohnson8218 3 ай бұрын
Short answer is yes. But it is part of the BrahmaVihara practice that takes you all the way through the jhanas to niether perception and from there you just observe and then nibbana. Metta is the gateway when practiced in the TWIM way and how it is talked about in the suttas.

@@davidjohnson8218 Thank you for your reply. After 10 years of 'watching the breath' practise, I did TWIM metta once and knew I was home. Are there any teachers that offer 1-1 at a discounted rate for a student? I really am ready to just commit to this practise all the way to awakening, and feel guidance is necessary.
