Does this work equally well with both of the F-18’s targeting pods? Or just with the one you used for this video? Trying it with the ATFLIR pod, manage to get the first maverick off but subsequent ones don’t seem to slew to targets designated in ATFLIR???

Gotta tell you your training videos are great. You'll be talking about navigation and add something like dropping tanks, it's extras like that that make these videos effective for me. I never thought I would learn the hornet the right way. I am getting better at on speed flying, as for refueling I am deep in the proposing phase

YES, IT HELPS! Well, it did really pull it all together. I have been flying for awhile now but I never have entered waypoints. I got lazy and use "The Way," so this was good to actually see it work. I'll fly the mission just to solidify the process. Now, it's time to shoot some shit up! :)

This is a great tutorial. Showing the results of the curve was excellent. Not sure if it was more or less important to making the fucking tanker pay for my frustration though! 🤣😂 I've always pealed off pissed as to not add another fratricide to my log book! I was looking right at the basket and it looked exactly the way you showed it. When I hang up, I'm going right to the sim to start at the wing and practice formation more and gain confidance, then just to get my mind right I'm pumping that bastard full off lead, after the bailouts I'm going to empty my missiles on it too, at least once. Then I'll try to take on fuel the nice way! Thanks so much for the best training on this I have found. Ok, I've only watched one other but I can tell by the way you did it that it is exactly how a lesson should go. You don't just say, "do this," you show why and why not!

I think there's no magic. The reason why you have managed to destroy 3 tanks is not that HSI setting, but the dive angle 🙂 Just double-check this, you had steeper dive angle (like 35 deg) every successful run. And you didn't manage to destroy 1 tank after changing the HSI setting just because your dive was not that steep as in previous runs.

You have the most comprehensive content on flight stimming I’ve seen yet. Have you considered one on one instruction for those who learn better that way? I’m fairly new at this but doesn’t seem to be anything you don’t know how to do or at least where to go to find it. I’m sure there are those willing to pay. I am a subscriber

Hey how's it going, Just started to get into DCS Liberation and it's freakin amazing. Just wanted to Thank you for all the great videos of your Liberation missions in the FA18 Hornet. You are a one man air force. I am not computer savy and had alot of trouble getting Liberation to be playable, it looked like a slide show , impossible to play and I know I have the pc to run it. I found a zipped file just above the .exe file used to launch and it went somewhere and since then game has been running great, go figure. anyway been flying the A10CII and been having a blast. Now I'm using your videos to train in the F18. Just wanted to say thanks and I hope you keep them coming.

Is this a military thing, to set the altimeter for a runway, not QNH (elevation above mean sea level)? Wouldn’t that make harder to read maps since you would need to calculate relative altitudes?

Nice basic tutorial how to create a mission and which steps to take. Gives me more focus on what is important instead of programming all sort of complex scripts like JTAC and Artillery Overwatch, Capture zones and other advanced stuff i want to do in the end. Which is cool, but i don't have mission finished from start to end.

use lua to design a custom slam missile with a nuclear warhead for the fa18c ai: To design a custom SLAM missile with a nuclear warhead for the F/A-18C, you would need to use LUA scripting language to modify the existing SLAM missile code. Here are the general steps you can follow: Open the LUA script editor in the DCS World mission editor. Locate the SLAM missile code and modify it to include a nuclear warhead. This may involve changing the missile's payload type, adjusting its damage output, and modifying its behavior during flight. Test the modified SLAM missile in a training mission to ensure that it functions as expected. Once you are satisfied with the modified SLAM missile, you can add it to your mission by selecting it from the weapons menu and assigning it to a specific weapon station. It's important to note that modifying the SLAM missile code requires advanced LUA scripting skills and knowledge of the DCS World mission editor. Additionally, modifying the missile's payload type to include a nuclear warhead may require additional configuration and testing to ensure that it functions safely and effectively. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that I love playing Multiplayer, just not PvP. Many players I talk to seem to seek the Co-Op fun factor of trying and beating the enemy AI, and not exactly the challenge of fighting other players. So whenever we just want to enjoy a more relaxed gameplay or simply practice our skills without bothering other people or risking accidents, we just stick to Singleplayer.

You can't program to all 8 bombs TOO gps coordinates to drop them 8 simultaneously right? You have to drop 4 first then switch the mission to T002 for the other 4 GPS coordinates?

Can you post a video of doing this with the KC-135. It’s much much harder and the wake turbulence is now modeled accurately so you’re contending with the wing vortices as well as the task of tanking.

One thing I've noticed about IL-2 keybinds that I haven't noticed anywhere else is that there seems to be a couple of seconds before the game registers the button/axis/whatever you want to set. For instance, if I want to set pitch, normally I'd click on the binding to set, then pull backward and push forwards. I noticed that it doesn't see the backward but it does the forward. It does this with just about anything that has a positive and negative setting. To get around this, I found that clicking on the keybind to set it, and waiting a couple of seconds after the input window comes up before moving anything works. If I do that in the above-mentioned example, it sees movements as I intend to use them. Weird...

Complete newb to IL-2 and flight sims in general, but LONG time space sim player. First thing I do in any game with a buttload of keybinds is create a profile "freshstart" or something similar that makes all the basic changes to the default settings before going in and tweaking. In the case of your example, I started by deleting everything in the mouse and joystick columns before creating freshstart and then started tweaking re your guide. This is so if I get to a point where something is phuked (lol) and I can't find it, I can revert to this and star over without having to get the controls back to a starting point again. VERY glad I found this guide, btw and thanks. I was ready to find someone on one of the IL2 discords and offer to venmo them to hold my dumbass hand! I still might...
