I cannot stress enough . Do NOT EVER load a bolt with putting your hand or fingers in the string travel area . Because if the bow should ever accidentally fire you could very possibly lose a finger or two ! Never load it like he just did !

In stock on Scheels website. Ordered one and it came in brown instead of the silver. Works nicely for the price!

Could not find any directions about how to turn the light on: seriously frustrating. Someone commented that there is a plastic tab in there. I found it against the rear of the light: its clear; so hard to see. I removed it with a toothpick. Could not get the light to work until I screwed the two parts very tightly together. It seems to work just fine and the light is very impressive. Anyone who hunts in a ground blind needs one.

The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. kzbin.infoUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

What kind of fletching jig is that? And will it do helical?
@huntersfriendproductreview8807 Жыл бұрын
It is made by Grayling, and it is simply named the Grayling Jig. It is nothing fancy but I love the simplicity and it can keeps up with jigs that cost much more. It can do a helical turn but you have to have the appropriate clamp - that is the same with any jig though. A helical clamp has a bend to it so you would just set the JIG to however much of an offset you would like and the helical clamp does the rest to add the bend/curve to the vane/feather making it helical. Cool thing about the Grayling Jig is that you can get a right, or left helical clamp so it is possible to fletch virtually any configuration with it and it is super affordable.

Your tip worked great! I had tried the steam method with limited results, but the heat gun worked fantastic! I put my Harbor Freight heat gun on low, warming one side of the vane and then the other side, and rotating the arrow while moving the gun back and forth, being careful not to allow it to get too hot. I tried doing it about the speed and distance from the vane as you demonstrated and it worked perfectly! One heat gun, a smidgeon of patience, and your advise landed me arrows that look like new again! Thanks!

Works best with heat guns that have a low temp (but still much higher than hair dryer) . I could literally touch the vanes with the heat gun tip for longer time and reshape them.
