Having fully restored a number of these cars I’d be surprised if the inner sills and bottoms of the A posts and B posts haven’t rusted away. They all do so you need to cut into the sills at specific points to check them and not just patch in the top of the sill. They are structural but not visible externally so if you haven’t changed them it will come back to bite you at some point in the future. The sill structure design is poor and traps water causing structural rust inside, weakening the rigidity of the shell.

Beautiful restoration to Alfa's grandpa! Eerr... where are those chrome bumpers?

From what I’ve seen, a complete running and driving GTV will range in value anywhere from $30k - $120k USD. What would this car be roughly valued at?

Beautiful! What pedals are those? Were they a direct bolt on, or did you have to modify the gas pedal? And what size filter did you put on the the crankcase breather?

Did you keep the carbs or return it to SPICA injection? Seems to be a 115.01 with the red tail lights and below the bumper front turn signals.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....(

Nice video! I’ve been driving 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750GTV for 35 years in Japan. The condition of my car is not as perfect as yours, however, very fun-to-drive and mechanically healthy. Maybe I would consider the restoration someday🍀

Having owned both a 1969 Type 105 "1750 Spider Veloce" and a 1974 Type 115 "Berlina 2000" in period (both purchased new), the correct factory designation for your 1969 Type 105 coupé is "1750 GT Veloce." The Alfa Romeo factory did not use the moniker "GTV" until the introduction of the Type 118 transaxle cars. Refering to your coupé as a "GTV" is a misnomer.

Can I assume that this ‘74 is with carburetors? I think the SPICA fuel injected cars were only sold in North America.

Beautiful ! I’ve always loved the styling, power plants, sounds, drive ability, etc., of the Alfa’s. Never could find one in the states, found some in Panama when I was stationed there. But, these were not importable. Great cars and fast too when driven to it. Great resto, looks like a lot of work into it. Lots of European cars, north and south, had really thin metal and rust loved them, terribly!
