I adopted a 10 year old green cheek. His previous owner said he knew some words and phrases, but weve only heard him say peekaboo. I called him a pretty baby and he repeated it back to me exactly once. Im determined to hear him say it again some day.

With mine, we always do like a rhythmic Haka march to a beat that at first I used to do, but he's taken control of the beat now and if I mess up his groove, he'll violently fly over and cuddle bite my ears to death 😂😂😂 it's complicated.

I love my GCC , paco is his name; he gets along great with me, my husband, and my parakeet. Can’t wait to see him grow up and become fully flighted

I called my vet to ask how much it would cost to get my GCC’s nails clipped. This is what they told me. Before clipping the nails they would have to do a full examination because the trauma of clipping the nails could actually KILL my bird. Price for examination $166.00 and with that the nail clipping would be free the first time. After that it would be $45.00. Goodness me, I just got her in December 2023 and between the new (huge) cage, perches, toys, treats and pellets my little bird is costing me a small fortune. Also, important to know I’m Canadian, so those prices are Canadian currency. Thanks for the video, I’m really working on our bond so I can clip them myself. Lucky for me she has white nails so I can actually see the little vein inside.

My GCC shits everywhere. Took me 3 months to toilet train her. Still takes a shit everywhere. The clean up is insane. But I do it all for Cognac ❤

No matter what parrot did you bought you need to give them more love and care unconditionally! That’s what they deserve! Don’t force them to learn to talk just quick bcoz it takes more time on that process! Patience is a must!
