Our Daryl has one like you showed. He sleeps in in, but not in the middle of the hut. He sleeps on the left side between the two fabric pieces. He doesn’t like the right side. He also likes to get scritches once he slips inside and turns around to face me, at bed time. They are such little characters.

fuzzy/happy huts are one of the most dangerous things for a parrot. if you want a sleeping space for him I suggest getting bird safe materials or making one yourself. Anything that can pill or break down into strands or fibers from chewing is bad. I just remade temporary cardboard box houses for our bird every few months. He enjoyed sleeping in and shredding his house. was very careful how it was held up so that he would not chew or get tangled in the suspension string. He had a little no pill fleece blanket he loved but just crawled under and never chewed on. Usually just a box will suffice though if there is any question on chewing.

Hello! Before I say anything else, I just want to say that Trello is such a beautiful little bird and he clearly has a very happy life. Your channel helped me decide that a GCC was the bird for me - I love mine to bits! You asked for opinions on 'cozy huts' in your video. I have seen a few videos and articles saying that they can trigger hormonal behaviour in both male and female birds. I didn't want to introduce anything that might cause any distress to my bird. I have also been bitten enough to know I didn't want to do anything to encourage encounters with an angry, hormonal beak! Those are the reasons why I decided against getting one for my own GCC, much as I'd love to see him peeping out of it at bedtime... Hope this is helpful. Keeping it squeaky here in the UK!

Hello, I just wanted to say Trello is such a sweet little guy, he looks amazing and he is just so baby. You asked for our opinion on the bird 'cozy huts' I for one don't think that it is a good idea because I've seen in other youtubers videos that talk about those kind of huts and them not being good for birds because if they chew on them the fibers can get stuck in their crop and they could potentially pass away. I don't mean to hurt or upset you in anyway. There are alternatives to that like using a sea grass hut which is safer for them. I really enjoy your videos and I can't wait for the next one!

I bought one for my Little Louie and it’s taking some time for him to get use to it. Still does not use it yet. A few months so far and still strange to him……

Bird hammocks allow them to sleep while resting their feet. So they don’t have to sleep while clamping their feet down on the branch and it’s not that fluffy where they get sexually stimulated from the fluff.
