You must be very experienced principal to controll the musicality of this solo in such an extremely slow tempo without getting deal with your breath, the counting also with the transparency and intonation of your sound.. Great clarinetist!!!!!!! That's why every time i want to introduce the clarinet in my classes in the primary school i teach use your Strawinsky's Three Pieces performance.. I find it unique!!!!!

В определенный момент перестало получаться играть на любых коммерческих тростях. Я устал мучиться и решил рискнуть, изучил тему, заказал станок, камыш, потом постепенно добавились еще несколько инструментов, и стало получаться что-то, на чем уже можно было без страха и стыда играть 😊 С тех пор я брал коммерческую трость, наверное, однажды или дважды, и то только потому, что мои были все тяжелые для клезмера.

I am alive ) just feels difficult at the moment to combine all activities at high level plus family with 2 kids, but every day I think about continuing and still have a lot of material waiting for editing and posting. Sure I’ll return to it 😊

Did you use the version for flute and piano, because that one is in Fis minor as you play it. The version for clarinet and piano as I found it on IMSLP is in d minor.

As a trumpet in my school band, we're known for hating clarinets; however, I actually love the instrument when it is played as shown, so skillfully and softly. In fact, I feel as though this clarinet-hating reputation has only spread from those who have witnessed our gutteral screams upon hearing the goose-like tone of most players in the band.

Clarinetist is perfect, but if I had a conductor take it this slow, I would have to change careers :-) You can tell the soloist is trying everything to get the tempo up. It does make quite a bit of time to allow the high D to become heavenly. And big breath for the last note. What a great player!

I don't think I've ever heard this peace conducted faster, but I certainly understand the feeling. Usually the solo is felt more than it is conducted so part of it is the clarinet as well.

I'm not familiar with this but I don't hear any rhythmic tension with the soloist and the conductor .I've played drums for 50 years and rhythmic nuance is tricky to say the least. What do I know? I loved it.
