I've only been playing for six months, so it's still difficult for me to be certain if the sound of a clarinet is good or not. I watched your videos with the best headphones I could find and I decided that I really prefer the sound of the E13. I discussed this with my teacher and with my friend who's been playing clarinet for years and they both agree that the E13 is a great choice. So today I ordered the E13 online and will hopefully get it next week. I am super excited, and I wanted to thank you because your videos were such an in-depth analysis and they really helped me make a decision. Thank you so much, Anton!!!

​@@AntonMoiseyenko Just am update to say I am LOVING my E13. The sound is so beautiful. Maybe in these 6 months of learning I have developed a more discerning ear because I really can tell the difference between this clarinet and my Yamaha ABS resin instrument. This instrument sounds so pretty I wish I could play all day! Also it sounds so loud. It's like I only need to blow 50% as hard as I did before, which really helps with breath control and expression and even articulation. Also, the keys are much more responsive and playing is easier. Again, thank you for taking the time to make these amazing videos!

Out of the student clarinets the E13 shines through, but interestingly I could hear hardly any difference going to the RC Prestige. Might be more obvious in real life, or better quality playback than KZbin!

I think it would be more fair to compare both new e13 and Prestige, but in my case, after the blind test, I’ve found that I like e13 even more :)

Best comparison video ever! In previous video I thought the order: 12f, 11, 13 and RC. Sincerely, I prefer the E11 instead of E12f. Summarizing, in first place I vote RC, after E13 which sounds great, then E11 and finally E12f which I don’t say it is bad. Regards

hi, may i ask what the percent number at the center of analysis screen refers to? it seems to be RC prestige has the poorest tune quality, am i right?? quite stunning result.

The percents are showing the tuning rate, how often you get clear 442 in my case. The main problem with my set up is that my mouthpiece is around 443, and the clarinet has got sharper within 15 years. But the overall tuning is more even especially if you compare it with e11 and e12.

Excellent test! I have already decided: E13! Could I ask you please regarding instruments? Were these "out of the box" or were these instruments first checked by the technician ( corrected leakages / pads, regulation etc. and then subjected to test)?

Interesting question! These clarinets were kindly provided by Atelier Goncharov and usually they fix the instruments before selling so I think they were lightly checked by technicians before. Usually there’s no big problems with Buffet instruments out of the box but to be sure if you decide to buy an instrument it’s better to ask a repairman to check if everything works fine and if it needs some fixing.

I like the E13 very much, the sound quality is really great for its price! I didn’t feel any discomfort playing it. The mouthpiece here is Nick Puccini Tosca - highly recommended to try 😉

The Prestige tunes a little higher. Allso the sound a bit less compact - the E13 seem to be the one that has most projection and sweetest sound ( in this room !) but will happen in a larger venue?

I have played a clarinet 14 keys B flat since 1991 and I love it. In a nutshell, I was 11 when my dad gave me my first clarinet. Well, I have considered the idea of buying a new one.

E13 still wins! Much more even intonation between registers... The E12 was a little flat on the lower register for my taste. Great playing :-) (ps. I could only afford the E11 :'-D) the prestige sounds a bit too cold for my taste.

Да, Престиж, по моим ощущениям, самый красочный из них. Хотя по количеству темной краски е13 мне тоже очень понравился. Если бы покупал вот таким образом инструмент, точно купил бы е13 :)
