Beavercreek is good people . Dealt with them years ago, when I had the Italian Husky. I'd get one of these but I lost my place to ride after my buddy with 20 acres passed away from a heart attack a few years ago. I do not like the composite subframe though. I would be breaking out the epoxy or JB weld to repair it. Or fabricating some aluminum spars to attach to the alum struts and eliminate the composite altogether. Good review.

Loved the Journey ! I remember riding from the Midwest to the Pacific not far from there in the 70's as a 19 year old, but watching you two doing those passes like Black Bear was incredible . As an adventure bike rider today in my late 60's I appreciated following along , Hope the journey home was enjoyable as well .

I have a Tiger 1200. Did you think about changing ride modes for the steep downhills? No idea if that would help but maybe worth giving a try before going all-in on a more expensive mod. (I may experiment with mine and see what happens)
@bobinenduro23 күн бұрын
Excellent observation. I was so focused on turning off rear ABS I do wonder if the ABS may have helped keeping the bike straight. The regular Off Road mode was really good in many sections.

I've owned mine 4 months now. You can take the corners tighter than that once you get used to the size and handling. I feel I can flick it just fine too.

Run whatever oil you wish as long as it's 200+ flash point if you really want to get the max longevity out of your bike, let it spooge a little.

Did you get to test ride the Suzuki 800DE? If so how did it compare to the 900? I liked the engine torque on the Suzuki, it pulled hard from 3000 rpm and the suspension was very plush on the road. I’m curious if the 900 is similar on those features.
@bobinenduro27 күн бұрын
I haven't ridden the 800DE yet. I wanted to try that and the Husqvarna 800 as well.

I spent a lot of time in that Basin and Range country west of Ely back in my salad days as a geologist working for the mining outfits. It’s gorgeous country. If you have a chance, hit Wheeler Peak - it’s heaven on earth up there. 😃

I have done that run a couple times now. First in 2017 from west to east and then again in 2019 from east to west. The second time we stopped in at Middlegate Station for a beer and a burger. We also came across a nice Mexican restaurant (La Fiesta) in Ely just across from the Ramada. The owner came out to chat with us when he heard we were on a bike trip from Canada. We told him were were not sure what to order but were really hungry. He said not to worry and took real good care of us.

I have enjoyed your trip out west. I have a 2020 Tracer 900 GT. It is the most fun bike I have ever owed. That CP3 engine is fantastic.

Keep em coming 😊 Nice scenery... if you know the locations your riding through, please let your audience know. I'm always on the lookout for places I'd like to explore. Take care...!! 🙏

Sounds like the dealer was more interested in selling the bike than actually taking care of the customer. Shame.

Love the bike! I have a 2023 xsr900 in legend blue and am looking for something similar to the aoc that you have. Where does it get its power from? Can you do a video highlighting the install?

I have a 2019Africa Twin a brand new Tenere 700 and a 2020DRZ400 SM but I think a small bike would be better. It hurts less when you crash. Crazy trail for sure. Great views but not safe.

That's a lot of rocks. I rode a 900 RP (until I broke the frame!). It's funny that I recognize the sound of rocks hitting the skid plate. It has a unique "ping" on the Tiger. What time of year was this?
@bobinenduroАй бұрын
It really does have a distinct sound! I used the stock skid plate on my 24 and had no problems. No breakage anywhere and believe me we beat that bike silly.
@butcherknife59knife46Ай бұрын
I’d never do that on a big bike ever!!

Me neither, we said never again. My goal in the video series was to discourage folks. I think too many videos act like its not a big deal. We learned the hard way. I'm going back out in August of 2025 but using my Husqvarna FE501s. I think it will be tons more fun doing all the passes on a bike that weighs 260 lbs not 500lbs.

Edit/update: I apologize! Discount is true and it shows in cart. Jumped the gun. Original: Nice bike and review! But offering a Aoocci discount that's not actually a discount is disingenuous. It's $219 on their website, and your link just bumps up the price by 22% ($327) then removes it to imitate a discount ($219). Just tell people to use your link so you get something for taking the time to review, VS offering a nonexistent discount. Best of luck with everything.
@bobinenduroАй бұрын
Nope. Not true. Just tested the link, click add to cart. My friend just bought one. $170.82 out the door. Be sure you didn't click qty 2.

So what did RJ ended up buying? Im in between those 3... leaning towards the XSR900 since it is the cheapest of the 3. The SP is 1.8k more than the XSR and the RS is 4.5k more.

I can dig it. I haven't had a bike for over 20 years. Been really wanting one lately. Just moved from Seattle to Mobile. Already contemplating an Iron Butt ride to Houston for some In n Out burger lol. Round trip would be just over 1k, and I-10 has a traffic flow rolling about 80+ the entire stretch. Great place to do it. Plus, the burgers make it fun.
