during the 80s always thought it was a synth bass, like sledgehammer I thought the same. I'm not a real fun of like a prayer but for the bass line it's worthy of listening

Only heard this on radio and it didn;t do the bassline justice. I've just added this bassline to my arsenal of funk! Thanks for the video.( and the song). Based on the Marine chant too...obvious once it's pointed out ;)

I might be late with that comment, but, Guy, I came here because I had known you mostly from the Pink Floyd live albums, however, it's so much fun to discover all the rest. My age remained single digit until the end of the 80s, yet so many songs got stuck in my head during childhood. That's why it's so much fun to learn that you where one of the guys (if not THE Guy) who helped define 80s music! Thank you for all your great work!

Fantastic! I saw Icehouse and Guy at the Mooloolaba Hotel in 1985, not long after my brother and I came over from the UK to stay with our Australian grandmother on the Sunshine Coast. 😂
