I don’t play the bass yet I’m spending half of lockdown watching you and Lee Sklar - what’s happening to me? 😆

Hell yesss !! I've been listening to this part since 1995, saw you and the Floyd 3 times in '94, on my junior years, .. Like you I haven't slap a bass since like '97 but this will definitly hit the fav' star button !! I love so much this bass part , this and the delicate sound oh thunder bass break in ABITW too, here it is, delivered by the master, great piece of bass that fits so well with Tim Renwick's solo !!! Thank you so much :)))

Keep going Guy, much appreciated. And props for mentioning Tim, a wonderful player who deserves the credit for being a great counterpoint to DG, a pretty daunting task for any mortal.

It took some balls to play slap bass on PF songs. Glad you did it. You got hired because of your talent, which includes playing your bass lines and not Roger's (or Dave's). Great job, thank you for the music! (This is not an Abba request!!)

Thanks so much Guy. Great to watch these videos during our lockdown. Many years ago I learned bass playing along to Pink Floyd, Icehouse & Alan Parsons Project. I've recently picked up my 1986 Cort bass again after a 20 year hiatus. New pickups & strings, and loving it again. Thanks for inspiring me as a young fella, and now again as a 50-something living room player. Love your work. If you're ever in Australia pop in for a cuppa. Stu.

Old Bass player Joke that the Hipshot D tuner reminded me of. The guitarist hears screaming and yelling, runs into the rehearsal room and finds the bass player and the drummer fighting. He calms them down enough to find out what's going on and the bass player says "He turned one of my tuning machines and made the bass out of tune!!" The guitarist asks "Well, why don't you just retune it?" The bassist replies "He won't tell me which one!!!!" Give my regards to Nick Mason. Oh and looking forward to seeing you in May 2021.

The Hipshot detuner is actually quite useful for ABITW2 in particular, if you're playing Happiest Days right before that. Happiest Days is played in standard tuning and goes right into ABITW2 without much time to change basses or retune. Love the Floyd stuff, Guy, but looking forward to the rest of your catalog as well. Cheers!

Brilliant series of video's Guy. Saw the gigs in Paris and Earls Court. Paris blew me away except for a crazy moment when about 50000 people wanted to sit. We were to the right of the tech and we had no room to oblige. Much to the annoyance of those behind us who began hurling water bottles. A night i'll never forget. Especially when David began his tease into Run Like Hell with lightning flashing way off in the distance behind the stage. Magic.

I've already learnt some PF songs, as it's my most favorite band - and two weeks ago I decided that I must finally learn Shine On...🙂 And that's an incredible challenge for me!
