1.0 may have sucked in many ways, but the cutscenes were excellent, with much more mocapping than we even get today.

Unless they mean the higher fidelity? To be honest, that was part of the trouble with 1.0 as I understand it - visually stunning, but a bit too ambitious for an MMORPG of the time to the cost of the actual gameplay.

@@nimithiel2215 at the time maybe yea, but now those graphics shouldn't be a problem. Problem was the old teams gameplay they implemented.

Male Miq'uote hogging the spotlight. EVERY expansion (other than ARR itself) had a male Miq showcasing at least one of the Jobs. Where's the love for talls (Elezen/Roe) or shorties (Lalas)?

While there were certainly some more adult elements that were toned down for ARR, like the sex workers in the miners' guild, there are adult elements and themes throughout the game. Perhaps a little more subtly addressed now.

OMG, I never saw the 1.0 benchmark so I never realised the opening cutscene on the boat in Endwalker is basically the opening of the first ever game benchmark. That is such a full circle beautiful touch.

Arcanist/SMN/SCH were the only new jobs at the launch of ARR. All the others had been in 1.0.

It was entirely on purpose. Comet is the face of the channel and has been since it started. I did a video all about her that is linked in the description. My goal is to promote Comet awareness throughout the FFXIV community -until Comet takes over the world!-

Tbh i like Pictomancer from the idea, i mean we already have a lot "cool dangerous edgelord" Jobs, like Gunbreaker, Darkknight, Reaper, Dragoon etc.. and Picto feels like something new and unique
