Yeah it's strictly a scam. People will try to defend it, but I think a given intelligent individual should be able to derive from first principles why they must be bad Basically, nobody can actually sell the mediocre products. So where is the cashflow coming from? It can only come from the downline, and selling those silly "training" materials to the suckers in the downline. Q.E.D. Therefore they are a scam. A very clever one, because it fools some gullible people every generation. Not you though - you got out immediately.

I have been with Aflac for 2 months so far and I have a completely different experience. Maybe because it's post COVID but they want us in the office at least 3 days a week. They do trainings in our office Monday Wednesdays and Fridays. My district is very large so they say we could canvas but they actually stress cold calling more so. The people I work with are pretty cool for the most part but in the beginning they want you to be under your district sales coordinator before going out on your own. The training is decent but we started right away after orientation which caught me off guard. This was before we went to sales school it wasn't quite clear of the expectations of what we are supposed to do so there is a high turnover rate. You have to be assertive but I came from already being a independent contractor and owning my own business so I have a little bit more experience than a person coming from a 9-5. You do have to put up money and there is a lot of driving and appointment setting and it's not always guaranteed that you'll close a book of business. That is the most frustrating part. Now I will say unlike other companies since you buy your own license you get to take it with you cuz you purchased it so that's a good thing unlike places like New York Life insurance where they sponsor your license if you leave that company you can't take your license with you. So even though you pay for your license it's rewarding cuz there's so many more options available if you decide to leave Aflac. There are a lot of incentives bonuses and trips available so that's good but you really have to prioritize your time and efficiency by setting a daily schedule and sticking to it. This is definitely a self-motivating business so if you're good about being a self-starter this is the perfect career path for you. Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time. For me right now I'm contemplating whether to leave as this is more of a young person sport or if you're in a situation where you really need a job just know that it's going to take you about a month to really get started so don't expect payment for at least a month. I got my first book of business under a month but I have only been working part-time. I'm sure I would be a little bit more successful if this was my full-time job. No one's going to be micromanaging you but your output is definitely going to be a reflection of what you put in. So know that going in and then you'll be fine.

The real money here does not come from the selling of products, but the weekly meetings, quarterly conferences, yearly learning conferences and the books you "need" to buy to show you're "fired up" to "fire your boss" -- all $$ coming into your uplines' pocket. Then your monthly DITTO bonuses from you, your uplines and such. Sucks that Amway isn't a public traded company. I would've invested into their stock share.

As with any marketing you have to do it for 5 years before you can really make a comment. ,Yes, sales are part of any business that you do from home. You should have tried it longer before you bash it.

I'm interested to know why they're denying the claim? did you have a pre-existing condition before the policy or it's something that's not quite covered with Aflac? Because usually they don't deny claims unless it's not covered specifically in the plain text. Or you had a pre-existing condition prior.

Sorry but Amway is for Go getters. Not Employee mentality people. Thats where U are Wrong cause its not sales person. There is a lot of Books that business owners read and Im talking about workers structures and compensation from a traditional Job or a Business with partners in Business. Also I dont want to sound disrespectful but USA peoppe are trained as little as weak in these areas. They get indoctrinated to be at school to go to college get in debt and then theu cannot find positions in the job that U study for!!. All the KZbinrs that post about amway or other parner in business structures. They picture in their mind that you gwt paid to do nothing. But in any business its about building your portafolio of clients. But if you go with the mentality of going to work and if You are lazy you wont make no money. Of Course you have to rhink like an entrepreneur not a employee mentality. Im not in any of mlm structures but I got a lot of succesful people that they jave made it and with a lot of efford. If it was easy to be millionare everyone will be a millionare. Try in real state and from there let us know ur Outcome!!. You will see its the same

1. You DON'T have to join the trainings. If you have experience selling or if you know where to self train, you DO NOT have to join the classes by your upline. If they mad, they are the problem, not the company. Also, some people do need this type of leaders breathing down their neck to do their job of advertising the products so that people will buy from them. Else, they just do nothing and expect customers to just come in strolling to buy from them.
@nk-tg2cu
@nk-tg2cu 2 ай бұрын
2. If you hate selling, this job and any other sales job aren't for you. Simple as that. Also, there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to call your family or friends to buy from you. They aren't your target audience. Go on social media and find your target audience by posting related contents and then show your products and their benefits and who have they helped or how they have helped you. Your targeted audiences WILL CONTACT you to buy. This is when your product knowledge AND your selling skills will come into play.
@nk-tg2cu

3. Girl, please do not listen to all these old millenial gurus who says you have to make cold calls or contact your family members etc etc. THEY ARE NOT YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE. PERIOD. Even if they buy, it is out of empathy and that empathy will run out soon!

4. If your upline scolds you for not meeting your 'quota', please F her upside down. The upline are supposed to market their own products too, not solely rely on downlines . OMG. They are equally responsible in doing their own sales. Also, instead of motivation rubbish talk, there should be a class on product knowledge and how to make social media postings, how to find testimonials, how to build you audience etc.
@nk-tg2cu

5. Buying products to reach your quote benefits THEM, not YOU. OMG, this is so unethical. I really think you found a very bad upline.

You're such a ray of sunshine that I've watched this video before I started with the duck and now that I just got on. EVERYTHING you've said is truth so far lol. While waiting for the state to approve my temporary license, I was waiting with no clue what to do next and had no clue when aflac was going to call me again. Then, one evening, my DC called me like at night introducing himself and told me there was a meeting the next morning at the office lol. I honestly was expecting a huge meeting with all of the big shots, tons of agents on way too much caffeine, a stage like the one Apple uses when announcing a new iPhone, spotlights, and a loudspeaker and an announcer like at the Grammys or Oscars calling me on stage, where a blue Aflac blazer would descend from the ceiling of the ballroom and everyone would be cheering for me and welcoming me to the team lol. Then we would enjoy a huge catered buffet and so. NOPE, lol. There was me and another new guy, three DCs and the main agent. There was no huge deal or catered buffet. There wasn't even a blue blazer or even a polo given out lol I think there was box of those hard, crunchy granola bars that you get from Walmart and that's it lol. The meeting lasted for what seemed like less than an hour, and I left knowing less than what I came in with lol. That being said, I am excited, and I like the small crew I've met so far. My DC gave me some leads and some supplies to take home to study, and I think it was almost 800 leads....and I use LEAD loosely, as I think it was just addresses of businesses in one area that was totally unvetted. I did try one of the sheets of leads the next morning to cold call and generate approvals to drop off our literature. Out of 44, probably more than half didn't answer, some said no, but I did get four to say yes, I could bring them information. Strangely, my very first call was a yes to drop off information, so I was excited lol. Going out today to visit the prospects I found, and hoping for the best, because I need the money lol. I wish you were my trainer lol. I do want this to work, as no matter what happens, I plan to become a broker and sell Final Expense from multiple carriers at some point. Hope you're doing well. Happy weekend.

You really need to realize that you're running your own business. You get advances so make sure you teach your clients to pay their bill. If not, you need to payback your advances. Prospecting is how you get clients. Aflac is good but not for everyone.

That's how it is, I've seen allot of successful people in my own country. I've also seen ppl join after me have great success. You also have to purchase a book monthly and also submit notes and share your take away. I didn't mind the online meetings but I had a serious problem with having to leave your camera on at all times. The continuous sale hunting frustrated me, I did gain a few loyal customers as well. This basic math assists a lot of new Amway people. The key is having actual customers the way the founders intended, not the way we crave instant gratification today. You cannot "Do Amway" for 3 months and give a legitimate summation of "what its about." Your experience however was entertaining. I hope things got better for you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYiTZZyBrtOggsUsi=EtWXkozfQRVZQy9m

It's not a sustainable business model and that's why 99% of people don't make money. You can only pressure your friends and family to buy overpriced products for so long before they realize it's a rip off. Anything Amway sells can be found similarly elsewhere for much cheaper. Good on you for not wasting money under pressure.
