I hope you enjoy this video of me explaining my experience while working for Amway. Everyone’s experiences with this company are different, but they all seem to be stressful in some way. Many people succeed with this company, I just did not happen to be one of them.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Amway representatives. I was misled to thinking someone was sharing their experience about alternative careers. I realised after 3 calls that it was all a scheme to befriend and recruit me into Amway without even being directly asked. I researched the products & found ingrediants that wouldn't work for me & the costs were very high. I declined to join & that was when I received very distressing replies. Their words were very intimidating, guilt ridden, gas lighting phrases (it wasn't about the products or sales). I was shamed & told I was missing out on health benefits & a better future. Everyone has the right to say "No" without explanation - this experience was upsetting & no one should feel this way.

Thank you for this because this is literally what I’m currently going thru. I went thru the first round of spring leadership this past weekend and it was inspiring BUT ONLY TO DO WHAT I ALREADY HAD MY HEART SET ON 💖 to made to feel that I wasn’t enough or doing enough was insane. I asked a few people in the group on how and why they got started and it worked for them but as someone who is an introvert already that is stressful. It sent off some red flags the second day and it isn’t something I’d want to keep doing. To be made to feel like what you genuinely want to do isn’t enough blows me.

You’re right. Sometimes it can be utterly pointless. That is why I do my own research/training via other NWM programs right here on KZbin. Amway/ my upline may frown upon it but what can they say or do. One person that I follow that has helped me so much is Grant Cardone. And he isn’t even a network marketer. If you get a chance… get his book - The 10x Rule. That has helped me so much.

You are a lovely, sweet woman with a kind heart, and you feel quite bad if you think that you've disappointed someone. BUT you were NOT the problem here. It's all on Amway and its multi level marketing structure. First of all, no legitimate company with genuine products would allow a (corrected for accuracy) supervisory sales representative to ask you to pretend to be a customer and purchase products to plump up sales. That is dishonest AND delusional, because it means the company will be making annual sales projections based on false information. However such behaviors are frequently mentioned as being 'behind the scenes' behaviors by former sales people from many different MLM companies. Second, a professionally managed company will have a much smaller sales staff, AND a legitimate company won't push recruitment of customers into the sales force. That would be like a customer walking into Walmart or Target to buy something, only to be told that in order to obtain the specific product they were looking for they would have to purchase an array of different products and stand in the store selling the products AND recruiting other people who may have also come into the store looking for only one item. Third, in the example above, the entire big store is in competition with its own recruiting salespeople, and at the same time the store is trying to recruit MORE sales/recruitment people and put THEM in competition with the store AND the extra sales/recruitment staff they already have on the floor. Fourth, a professionally managed company with genuine products that are in demand or have an established customer base would ONLY hire experienced sales people, and would be very likely to provide mandatory additional training in sales tactics specific to their products. You are not at fault here; your bad experience is the inevitable result of dealing with a company focused on recruitment instead of on actual sales.

The real money here does not come from the selling of products, but the weekly meetings, quarterly conferences, yearly learning conferences and the books you "need" to buy to show you're "fired up" to "fire your boss" -- all $$ coming into your uplines' pocket. Then your monthly DITTO bonuses from you, your uplines and such. Sucks that Amway isn't a public traded company. I would've invested into their stock share.

It depends who your upline is and what your team looks like. I lucked out that I got selected on a team with super professional IBOs. My upline would never force me to invest in something too ahead of what is in my personal budget, and he respects that I am a software engineer who works 45 hour weeks. I also have a life outside of work which my upline respects as well. I still get 8 hours of sleep per night. Some people may have been chosen by a manipulative upline who just mooches from them and acts unprofessionally. Everybody has different experiences and I understand what happened to you. I agree that the products work.

@@hellogirl1998 good question. I usually spend around 100-150PV a month getting the products me and family need. My upline never pushed any further except for New Years Eve. I just want to see what will happen if I miss a live meeting or function, because I know my upline has done that before. @@hellogirl1998 I just recently unsubscribed from BWW. I did the 4x per month subscription. I am not participating in BOTM. My team does a business plan meeting 1x a week on Zoom and 1x a month in-person. We do all our product meetings 1x a week on Zoom. I have been in the business for 7 months and got 2 people in my downline so far, but now I only have 1 because the other person quit. The most PV I sold per month to people was probably around 40PV (over $100) because I had some sales before the weather got cold. I have not had time to make sales. I did create a business card and I will sell more often so I earn more while doing my work outside when it gets warm. Most of the people I reach out to are not my friends and family. They are people I connected through LinkedIn. They encourage me to speak mostly to my friends and family, but I only spoke to a few by referring someone else in third person. I mainly find the functions and in-persons to be hard to get to because I live in a big city and don’t have a car to drive. I like that my upline doesn’t give up on me if I don’t reach certain goals fast enough, but I want him to understand that I don’t have all the time to make every in-person meeting and function.

Wrong! The entire experice of Quixtar then Amway changed my life! I met people, learned success principles and got a dream that still drives me today in my own successful company. I'm not involded today, but my involvement opened the door to what im doing today. Amway, a job, college, marriage or anything you put your mind to will produce no more than you put in to it! Thank you Bill Britt, RW Weaver, Paul Miller, Greg and Liz, Steve and Alicia, Shawn and David all for never giving up on me!

At the end it was a wash, maybe made a few, but as mentioned above the relationships, principles and concepts I learned have helped me make hundreds and thousands and well on the way to millions. I went for the first meeting outta curiosity and boredom. I will say that till now the person who sold this idea to me has been really vague which still doesn't sit well with me, which doesn't thrill me one bit. But hey, buying Amway products to try and keeping it even after I leave? Yea I'd love that.

Sorry but Amway is for Go getters. Not Employee mentality people. Thats where U are Wrong cause its not sales person. There is a lot of Books that business owners read and Im talking about workers structures and compensation from a traditional Job or a Business with partners in Business. Also I dont want to sound disrespectful but USA peoppe are trained as little as weak in these areas. They get indoctrinated to be at school to go to college get in debt and then theu cannot find positions in the job that U study for!!. All the KZbinrs that post about amway or other parner in business structures. They picture in their mind that you gwt paid to do nothing. But in any business its about building your portafolio of clients. But if you go with the mentality of going to work and if You are lazy you wont make no money. Of Course you have to rhink like an entrepreneur not a employee mentality. Im not in any of mlm structures but I got a lot of succesful people that they jave made it and with a lot of efford. If it was easy to be millionare everyone will be a millionare. Try in real state and from there let us know ur Outcome!!. You will see its the same

Lmao you are so right about them not teaching you anything about selling products or talking to people. Just a bunch of motivational garbage to keep you interested. I joined to be my own boss not answer to a bunch of up lines and be stressed out. They also expect you to spend thousands on trips to the states for conferences that don’t teach you anything but motivational quotes either.

That's why they push recruitment so hard...to make money off charging you for bs like meetings and conferences on top of tricking you into buying the products "to sell" 🙄. It's a scam.

Sample out products. If somebody expresses they have a need, offer a solution. "Im stressed" recommend they try the less stress gummies. "I cant sleep" recommend the sleep gummies. "I need more money" ask if they'd like to come see the info session to see if its right for them. If its a no then cool. Move to the next. Read the books, listen to the audios etc. Study the products to explain them to people. Its a business, not a job. Your "legs" are actually just your partners. Idk. Thats just how i see it.

I’m sorry but you were not working for AMWAY u were not hired by them in w2 misleading. If you didn’t wanna change and run your business that’s different thing… maybe Job 8-5 is for you cuz any business requires a change and doing the job in order to be successful. So it’s not for everyone if you wanna party and work during the day then go ahead…. It’s grind to be successful in anything girl. U just not ready for success. Your attitude even said so. I suggest ppl explore different apportunity themselves not from someone on KZbin 😂really? So my experience was great…. Helped me a lot in building myself as individual. I was shy person 😊but not anymore, so no excuses. Thanks to the system. loved products anyway why shopping at Target? Just shop from myself 🎉I still plugged in using stuff and love it, have clients…. Maybe not building business as I used to (Life came in) but I love the system it’s working when u work.

Sorry you only tried it for 60 days... not enough time to even understand what you are trying to accomplish, and certainly not enough to gain the skills that you need. BUT the biggest thing is that you think you worked for Amway... You were an Independent Business Owner. It's mindset... that's what it sounds like your sponsor was trying to help you get. Job mindset is totally different from Business owner mindset. Oh and the $10 goes to pay for the rent of the use of the meeting room at the hotel... It's part of the education you needed to undergo. People pay 10s of thousands to get a degree but won't invest in their own business. All business move a good or service, how did you think you'd make money moving no product. Thousands of success stories out there too. Quotas are what make what you are doing a legit business in the eyes of the IRS. But nice of you to discourage others based on a very uninformed & naive perspective. Good luck, to you though.

@@samanthaagosto5826, I don't work a job - look at your company's flow chart. Can you out earn your boss? Because, if I move more volume than my sponsor... I make more money. Any organization structure looks like your so called "pyramid", that's just your ignorance talking. The company's business compensation plan is viewed as a "best practice" by the Federal Trade Commission. Funny some would criticize an American company that manufactures products in America with an American work force... But most people like their cheap junk from China made by slave labor. How about you, do you buy goods that use modern day slave practices??
