Classic aura durations. You need to go to the settings and toggle this option on after you install it

been playing about the same setup this phase myself...maybe 2 points different nothing serious...by far the smoother playstyle without having to change my momentum with the more fotm fat finger masher or the conservative max range "my mates are just my decoys" glass cannon build...should really start to shine this upcoming phase when we can get some points in affliction eh?

So i played this for some time now and it is great. The only things is: the soulink buff can be purged / dispelled. So a 31 point talent is gone by just 1 click of the enemy. WTF Blizzard!

It can't be purged. If it drops it's because your pet died. Sometimes your pet dies right as you do in a bg, then it gets ressed without soul link or grrimoire and you need to reapply them.

As a former R1 lock i have found the best spec to be nightfall, 3 points in Demonic Embrace, then Shadowburn. I also use this spec too solo farm SM Cath to make bags of gold! I use haunt, Master Channel, Synergy, Dem know, and Demonic Grace. Demonic Grace is slept on but pop it when u get a nightfall proc (which is alot thanks too MastChan) then Sbolt Sburn and one normaly crits for nice burst while they are already rotting! The problem with SL atm is u lack dmg, in your fight with the rogue u were even using the new dot grenade lol. SL is 30% which means basicly 300 hps for ever 1000 u have and honestly if you have enough stamina with drain life and haunt you'll be fine. Plus casting faster Shadow Bolts and Immolate is always nice and u have instant corruption and atleast two points in suppresion so ur aff spells never get resisted in pvp! With what you're running if your drain life is resisted or dispelled then you only have agony up. Plus in group pvp like Blood Moon event i see alot of problems and if ur pet gets banished then u have no SL and no dmg. Love seeing other locks pvp tho and not trying to put you down, some people may be dieing too much and SL could help but you give up alot too. Anyway good luck to ya, you got a like from me

I've tested both. They both have pros and Cons. I found night/fall to be a little too mana intensive for PVP. Shadow Burn was great, but with the haunt GCD along with all your other isntant dots is rough too. You have to tap a lot to get the mana to use it. You also die incredibly fast in that spec too. The Soul Link spec is by far the best 1v1 tho. Your spec is by far the best Solo spec for farming. Hands down.

@@Factionsz He only had to do extra damage because you had Drain Life on, you know that, right? And you only had drain life on because he didn't go from cheap shot (resisted) into kidney shot.

The difference is 5 seconds of drain life or about 600hp healing and 300 damage to him. Given that I ended the fight at 3000hp its very unlikely to assume he would have killed me otherwise. One cheap shot isn't 3000 damage of difference. I don't even need to trinket kidney shot to beat rogues and that's with a felhunter out.

good video, a small tip, lake of fire disappears if the boss is not standing on the actual place u put your rain of fire in, if you check the electro dude, your lake of fire disappeared after some seconds cause u didnt tank him in the place u casted it

I have a question, why do you play felhunter instead of the voidwalker? my guess is for the lacke of dps the spec currently has. Personally i would choose demonic grace and spam searing pain. i'm returning to wow after 1 month out so i don't know too much about the current meta.

It´s a Talent in the Deamon Tree, all points in it = 15% more Stam and mages have way less stam than all other classes xD

Do you like hearing the "you can't cast that yet" "That's still recharing" all the time? If not, if you untick the "error speech" in the sound settings it will stop.

Warlocks are in a really bad spot atm, they are super boring to play. Youre either spamming searing pain in meta or jumping around randomly trying to outlast someone with haunt and drain life as sl. Super boring game play, regardless of how effective it is.

Yes, ive played classic warlock for many years. Ive done rank 13 twice, rank 10 4 times over the last decade. You've described very low level lock game play with your example. Previously warlock has had a much higher skill cap than what it does now. Warlock had some of the best on-demand nuke capabilities of any class in the game. This combined with their fantastic utility and ability to crowd control made them the corner stone of the wsg meta. Just look at perplexity and UHD in WSG. At present warlocks haven't received the level of class defining runes that other classes have e.g shadow priest which has left them kind mid and boring to play. Hopefully this changes moving forward. If you enjoy 'out playing' people with 2 buttons and a 31 point talent, all the best to you. Personally id rather watch paint dry. @@Factionsz

@@mattbagley2496 You didn't say anything m8, all of the same crowd control that classic warlock has is there now even at lvl 40, with this spec too. "Utility and ability to crowd control" - ALL OF THAT (which is just fear, curse of tongues, and felhunter) IS HERE! And it certainly didn't have "the best on demand nuke capabilities in the game", it had shadowbolt, shadowburn, soulfire and conflag, that's it, and absolutely no way to enable any of them aside from seduce spam, which was (and still is) totally unviable the second you get attacked by more than one player. The classic Warlock PvP spec for solo and group unless you're just messing around and roleplaying Drakedog was also soul link, and it didn't have meaningfully more than what this spec has (corruption+coa vs coa+drain life+haunt). You gotta be shitting me, guy was a rank 13 warlock who somehow missed the fact that SL is so good it had to be banned from tournaments years ago.

Its sad that warlocks are almost forced into these 1/2 button specs in sod. I recorded the video a decade ago for a meme in my premade, i got a bit nostalgic re-watching it RIP feenix servers. im glad you got the reference to a true hero tho. @@Factionsz

It’s funny that you used hellfire on viscous fallout for a few ticks. I’ve been trying to figure that out for last few days if it’s a dps increase or not. I somewhat landed on it’s not and to either use high yield rad or just stay in normal rotation. Interested to hear what you think about it. Hellfire does ~150 per tick fully buffed on 4 targets is ~600 dps which is just barely over my average searing pain at ~550. Thing is I don’t think you often get that 4th mob bc of the way the goo spawns which would put in under searing pain. The high yield rad hits 150-250 which should mean on that fight with good placement it could do more damage. Off the top can’t remember if there’s a cast time on it though
