If you’re making interlocks from scratch how do you know how much hair to use? For example, if a client has fine hair or low density hair, will the extensions that you’re making be the same as your parting or less, especially if your making the loc extensions prior to installation? In other words how to make the parting space to loc extension ratio equal ensuring looking term results overtime.

I’m an old school veteran Braider 33 years. 😢Back in the 90s we did these with all extensions ( straight kanakalon) was all we had. The Africans used Lin fiber but that was hard for African Americans to get. So we used straight kanakalon and made it work. We called these silky dreds. Thank you for this 🙏🏿🥰

Im taking my locs out strand by strand from the top and I thought I was the only one to do this! I've saved so much hair than I have from combing my locs out in the past 😂 it's pretty easy, sometimes I have a bit of breakage but it does work my hair is longer than it's been in years! And I've only had them for about a year and a half ❤❤❤❤ so glad found you
