“Jupiter” can very, very easily be seen with the naked eye….Its’s actually the Brightest Planet in the Night Sky after Venus…..Venus is Always near the Sun…..It Rises in the East before the Sun…..It follows the setting Sun in the West….Jupiter is virtually overhead in the Winter night sky in the Northern Hemisphere…..It is usually visible all night long…..It’s very Bright, you really can’t miss it, unless it’s cloudy!

The Name “JUPITER”….Actually comes from the Roman “King of the Gods”, that being “Jupiter”……The name came about because the Romans named the Brightest Objects in the sky…..The Sun, The Moon and Venus etc. after their Most Important Gods….Jupiter was the Largest and Brightest Planet in the night sky (Venus being the Brightest) Hence “Jupiter” was so named after their “King of the Roman Gods”…”JUPITER”…..Hope that helps!

What about Ceres?
@Cosmos.International

Ceres is no longer considered the largest asteroid because, in 2006, the International Astronomical Union categorized it as the only dwarf planet in the Asteroid belt. Watch the full episode to learn why: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqPVdGB7qb6Xbqssi=EBRh7BUpd2Y522wh.

Could it of been that we passed by a much heavier star moving in a shorter orbit or flung out from the center of the galaxy causing this disturbance or possible a super nova blew out its asteroid belt” and it crossed our path in the Milky Way and we just passed through it

Thank you for the intriguing question. The Late Heavy Bombardment (LHB) is thought to have been caused by the "Nice model", a theory proposed in the early 2000s (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nice_model). According to this model, the LHB occurred due to the migration of the giant planets in the early Solar System. During the LHB, the Asteroid belt experienced significant disruption, scattering some asteroids inward toward the terrestrial planets. The idea of an external event, like a nearby massive star passing by or a supernova, triggering the LHB is interesting and would certainly have had the potential to disturb our Solar System’s structure. A passing star would leave detectable clues, such as noticeable alterations in the orbits of the giant planets or outer Solar System bodies, which we do not observe in present-day orbital configurations. A supernova could perturb smaller, dust-like particles in our system, but as the shockwave disperses over a vast distance it loses the momentum needed to directly alter the orbits of larger bodies in the Asteroid belt.

@ well a lot could of happened between now and then is all. I wouldn’t be so quick to accept hypocrisy ter moved in and Neptune pulled it out. (Just doesn’t seem acceptable, not to mention. Do we or will we know? Plausible is always the key to just another possibility

...how could water possibly survive the heat of entry & impact? Just on a basic scratch & sniff level, it doesn't make sense.
@Cosmos.International
@Cosmos.International 2 ай бұрын
Many comets and some asteroids contain significant amounts of water in the form of ice. The icy interiors of these bodies are insulated by a layer of rock or dust, which can help protect the water from the intense heat generated during entry. The outer layers may vaporize or melt, but the inner ice could remain intact.

The two poles move independently of each other? So the concept of a pole running through the earth from "top" to "bottom" that would be precisely aligned is inaccurate..😮
@Cosmos.International
@Cosmos.International 3 ай бұрын
Yes, the two magnetic poles of the Earth move independently of each other. The concept of a "magnetic pole running through the Earth from top to bottom" oversimplifies the situation because Earth's magnetic field is more complex, resembling a dipole field but with significant distortions. Earth's magnetic field is generated by the motion of molten iron in the outer core, which is dynamic and not perfectly symmetrical. This means that the magnetic poles do not necessarily align perfectly with each other or with the geographic poles.
