Doesn't matter. As long as Servais keeps trotting Garver and Haniger out there we clearly failed at the deadline.

It’s crazy we use Munoz to close 2 games against the white Sox with a 3 run lead in both games. But we don’t use munoz against the Red Sox when it’s 2-2 in bottom of the tenth?

The top 6 batters that were traded at the deadline per WRC+ : Isaac Paredes, Jesse Winker, Jorge Soler, Randy Arozarena, Jazz Chisholm, and Justin Turner. The M’s got 2 of them. The big boppers were not available so you got to make do.

Scott knew the game was lost after he inexplicably let Garver bat with the bases loaded in the 10th. So can’t blame him for sitting Munoz and losing this game. Honestly don’t know how Garver is even playable at this point he has been ass for so long. I think he went 0-4 (I was wrong 0-5).

Folks keep saying a Top 100 prospect wasn’t traded at the deadline but the headliner of the Tanner Scott trade, Robby Snelling, was/is a top 100 prospect. Maybe y’all just meant a Mariners Top 100 but it didn’t sound that way.

There’s several people to point the finger at for this bullshit loss. But I would like to drop a big 🖕 to Mr. Garver. Seriously, fuck that guy. And what the hell, Jerry!? How the hell do you not replace a guy performing that terribly. Especially with Jansen available. Seriously, what percentage of an upgrade would that have been!? But that’s cool, let’s just keep trying the same thing and expecting different results. Such a disservice keeping that worthless asshole

I’m done with Garver…dude can’t hit and when there are runners on base you gotta move’em. Terrible at bats by Garver today and I hope he gets DFAd. I’d rather have some no name from AAA than see him in the lineup again.

Another mediocre offensive game from the M's - it's been tough for them to win against good teams if the opponent isn't kicking the ball around like last night. I think it's clearly time to DFA Garver.
@Terry-wo3cw14 сағат бұрын
Wait. I wasn't able to watch the end of the game. It was Garver up in the 10th w bases loaded? And we had Munoz in the bullpen and decided to put diaz in and PITCH to Devers in that spot. My God. What are we doing.
@patmcgroin154715 сағат бұрын
I got to give it to Scott. He was unbelievable today. Warmed up Munoz to help him win next game. No Yimmy either and use a triple A player in Diaz. Pitching to Devers instead of intentially walking because hes had a bad series. Lastly, playing Garver when men are on base. Brilliant moves 😂

How much better would you feel about this deadline if they’d added Paul De Jong or Ahmed Rosario? I would’ve also liked Dylan Floro at the low cost paid. But Jerry/Justin did a great job
@Northstarisforlife0721 сағат бұрын
I thought Jerry and Justin did pretty well in this lack luster field of available players. Combine that without dipping into your top 10 prospects. That’s a win in most front office’s books. My concern as a fellow arm chair GM myself is the bullpen. Yes they added Garcia and Chargois. This is still a very top heavy Bullpen. Who does Scott turn to when Munoz and Garcia aren’t always available? Need more dudes in the pen to step up otherwise it’s a pray and hope situation when Scott goes with anyone else in late innings. Just stating the obvious folks.

I think they could have maybe gone in on Jazz Chisholm as well since they love trading with the Florida teams. But I am excited to have Randy on the squad and the bullpen got better, Garcia has been lights out for us so far.
@mitchellhopkins933121 сағат бұрын
The deadline was an A in my opinion. Other than Paredes, there wasn’t a bat moved that I really wanted or was impact. Soler hasn’t been very good this year and Chisholm sounds like a bad locker room guy. There wasn’t much impact offense traded and the M’s got two great bullpen arms and they really didn’t hurt the farm or at least the top tier prospects are still there. They could’ve gotten another arm, but those prices were insane and really this team just needs the in house guys to step up now. This is a WS roster.
@stevedayton541922 сағат бұрын
They killed the deals they made and trade deadlines are supposed to be supplemental not reconstructive. I really like randy and his energy but for me garcia was the steal of this deadline! Dude is nasty with a starters mix. Chargois is a dude with a record in seattle with a funky release and nasty slider makes sense. I still think they are one bat short. Even a canha or IKF type would have helped and not cost much. Turner is a pro. A legend. The next best steal of the deadline! Kind of what you were hoping from the mitch's. Really really need the mitch's to give you something and Dmo just needs to be solid til JP comes back. They are better so lets see how they fight and grind it out. Go Ms.
